GQuuuuuuX is too overhated in my opinion

Can somebody please explain to me a GQuacks's hate? Watched it recently and i think it was pretty solid. Yeah, some things just doesn't make sense, but i had a fun with that.

From what I witness, people were coming from the hate bandwagon on Witch of Mercury and thought they were in good company when the next installment of Sunrise Gundam franchise was a female mc and a spin-off of the UC timeline.

Gquaks artstyle and different take on the whole franchise was something new and Gundam fans who actually love UC and the series as a whole loved it.
I know I did, it had stuff I always wanted to see animated, like a "what if" of Zeon defeating Feddies like in Gihrens Greed games.

The artstyle was also something people seem to hate on, but mostly people bitchin about the Eva-inspiried Mobile Suits.

I personally didn't hate GQuuuuuuX,which its actually one of my fav GUndam Series out there:P

But I do have a logical Explanation for this actually,it may be from the same way how most Gundam fans also felt with "MObile Suit Gundam: Witch from Mercury" because most gundam fans aren't used to a full blown Female Lead Protagonist,which many fans were expecting a FUll Blown Colony "War is Hell Storyline" like you see in most previous Gundam series with Male lead Protagonist (GUndam Wing,G GUndam,Gundam Seed,Gundam Victory,Gundam X,GUndam 00 Gundam Z and ZZ,ect) but because GQuuuuuuX and Witch from Mercury mostly has "SLice of Life" Plots mixed in with the typical "War Gundam Battle Plots" it spelled some red flags with many long time gundam fans,and not to mention that the "Animation Style" Was radically different from Normal Gundam series,which a majority of the "Pokemon Animation Team" did the character designs for this series which many gundam fans didn't expect this animation style to be in a gundam series.

Amate Yuzuriha was a pretty likable female protagonist,like with Suellette MErcury (Witch From Mercury),so i had no issues with her.:P

I think another big reason and issue it had to why Some people disliked GQuuuuuuX, (even more so than gundam reconguista in g) was because,since this series only ran for 12 episodes (which we don';t know yet if it'll have a 2nd season),may parts of the plot Felt Rushed,with not enough Time or build up to fully flesh out the characters,and yes,gundam reconguista in g also had its problems with its confusing Story Structure and Pacing issues (Which were later fixed in the movie compilation versions and the manga) but I feel that GQuuuuuuX, could have performed much better,if it were at least a 26 episode or 52 episode tv series instead of 12.

I found the mobile suit designs rather ugly and the characters unlikable. Not a fan of making Newtypes magical, either. (Though Alternate Char having a sudden Magical Girl transformation into OG Char was kinda funny.)

I don't hate it, it was fun watching while it aired with my friend who is also a Gundam fan. I just wish the main cast characters and their relationships were more developed instead of relying so much on the nostalgic references to other shows. Maybe 24 eps would have been a better fit for what the show was going for.

I defentially agree with this comment right here,especially the amount of episodes it had,which infact,I even explain many of the issues it had from a previous comment i just made.

My last gundam I watched was Double OO since I haven't watch any new Gundam I don't know what good Gundam after 00

I didn't get around to watching it yet but the mobile suit designs they initially showed felt a bit overdesigned and not very appealing to me. That said, I did think they actually looked better in motion when the trailers dropped.

Being a huge fan of UC and especially 'Gyakushuu no Char' film, G-quaks was a great series to watch and one of the best Gundam anime to date for me. I kinda understand the hate though, especially from those who have just seen alternative Centuries series like 'Seed' and 'Wing'.

The main problem was how short it was, this means everything was rushed and some didnt care much for the new characters. And the fact that most fans of Gundam loves when everything goes to absolute hell and no one really wins in the end kind of plot (oh, and the fall of something into the planet with the power of BS.... i mean newtype)

Thats said, i didnt really liked the whole Lalah plot

I liked the "what if" scenario and the old characters returning. However the main characters were kinda weak like the gundam( they forgot to feed it and now its all bones)

i haven't seen it myself yet, but Machu is cute and especially her beanie, i couldn't help but actually buy an official replica of it.

i still don't think i'm going to like the MS designs, but i want to be more accepting for how 'different it is' in the long run when i do actually get to it as a long time fan of Gundam as a whole.
