SNES Good SNES 2-player games?

Hi! first time to post here! I'm looking for 2-player games recommendations for the SNES (Ideally co-op, but versus games are welcome too!) My boyfriend and I love the console but we're running out of games, by the moment we have: Aero Fighters, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - The Movie, Super Mario Kart.

Go for any genre of franchise, I trust your suggestions

Answering your question:

Aero Fighters can be a fun mess if you bring another player with you

Street Fighter II, especifically the World Champions is the best fighting game of the console

If you don't mind japan Exclusives (or simply translate them) Nekketsu Kouha Kunio Kun is a great followup of River City Ransom, the most serious game of the saga but still fun to play

Already beaten to the Bomberman Mentions, it's just so epic to play them be the main game or the arena with another person!

Ghost Chaser Densei is the best Brawler of the console IMHO, it has fighting game-esque inputs to make cool super moves too!

Lastly if you want something more relaxed /S you could play some Mario Kart, worry not, the blue shell didn't exist yet, so is less likely you will hate your partner after the dust settles

Depends. If you're emulating/using flash carts: Kirby's Dream Land 3. If using real carts: Super Mario World is a certified classic

If you are willing to try a slightly harder game, Pocky & Rocky is actually one of my favorites when it comes to 2 player games on SNES.

I will also add Super SWIV for a very fun take on co-op shoot em ups, as one player controls a helicopter while the other controls a jeep on the ground.
