For the two other users on the forum that still have and use a Wii U, have you been able to find a good screen protector to put on the gamepad? I like to put one on all my devices to keep them nice, especially ones with a touch screen, but have had no luck in finding one.

Looks like Amazon still has the ones I bought lo these many years ago, if Amazon US is an option for you: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KT5JG5U

They're pretty thick compared to all the other screen protectors I've put on, and I'd say touch sensitivity is mildly compromised. I've found it to be an acceptable trade-off, but you might not, in which case you might have to see if any generic glass protectors fit, or possibly cut TPU to fit.

Honestly, I'm pretty surprised that they're still in stock, so I'd say at $13 it's worth a go to protect something that the Wii U can't function without. Tempered glass removes clean if you don't like it.

I dont need/use scrn protector on wiiu pad, cause bubbles and not pretty, image dimmed and brightness 1 lvl higher drains batt. faster.
The stock touch foil is protecting already cause its thick and sturdy, I got a used 1 it had some super glue in the bottom corner, which I thought need replacement, but I could scrap it off with scalpel clean without damage, so no replacement.

I happen to feel the same, but for every console / phone. I get OCD against screen protectors because I feel they are there and it's strange. So lucky I care a lot about screens, mainly because I don't like screen protectors. I never had any issue, thank god.

But by the way, I would be using the Wii U, but not with the tablet but with the pro controller, I think it is very good and enjoyable. The console hasn't got many games, but there are a bunch worth playing even if most of them have been released for Switch :)

It's true it could be the worst Nintendo console, but I would be playing it over NDS / 3DS any time, as I don't like dual screens.

Nowadays I play on wii u emulator, 1080p/60fps mariokart 8 is amazing pretty, legend of zelda wind waker hd 1080p/30fps all much better than on original.

Also AliExpress, maybe? I've bought nice grip covers for my 3ds and vita that I couldn't on Amazon (or on Amazon they were the same but more expensive). I tried and searched for "wii u screen protector" in my language and there were some results.

I bought a pack of two tempered glass screen protectors on Ebay. They were pretty expensive, like $20-$25.

Tempered glass seems like a bad choice for the Wii U, considering it has the same type of touch screen as the DS and 3DS. Those touchscreens have to physically depress to register input, so putting glass over them would hinder that. I'm more so looking for a flexible plastic protector similar to the ones I use on my DSs.

I can usually get one on with no-to-minimal bubbles in 1-2 tries. You just gotta make sure the screen is spotless before putting it on.

Ya I mostly just use the pro controller, but would like a protector for the gamepad for the few games that use the touch control heavily. I like having the peace of mind that if I accidentally scratch it through use, I can just peel the protector off and replace it with a new one, rather than having to try and replace the entire screen.

I may take my chances with a few on there, they are relatively cheap.
