The strong point of this game is its local competitive multiplayer of 4 players to see who of the 4 survives in the action, but the weak point of the game is the frame rate that is very unstable especially when there are many 3D models on the screen.

For this game I recommend the emulator 1964 because it has an option to play it with mouse and keyboard, playing it with controller is not really practical and I had big problems trying to aim on it using controller.

Apparently this game is known for its multiplayer gameplay, and has been rereleased for Switch (Switch Online N64) and Xbox One (Original version, XBLA) recently. Also the Byelomorye Dam, Arkhangelsk music hits hard! (In the movie the dam portion is actually Contra Dam)

I remember this came out 2 days before the start of 3rd grade - and by the first day of school, there were only 3 things everyone talked about:
1. Steve Austin
2. Goldeneye
3. nWo/Sting

August 1997 was a pretty great time to be a kid lol
