You can now buy Dino Crisis 1 and 2 on GOG, either bundled or separately.
Like their exclusive releases of Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3, these games are part of the GOG Preservation Program. They come with improvements such as added controller support, Windows 10 and 11 compatibility, different game modes, new rendering options, increased resolution, and issue-free animation, video, and music playback, among other enhancements. For more details, check out GOG’s page! I’m posting this because I was really excited to see these games updated for modern hardware with some nice quality-of-life improvements. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to finish both right now and do a solid review of the new features.
What do you guys think of the franchise? Do you think there’s a chance we’ll see a new Dino Crisis in development? I know Dino Crisis 3 was heavily criticized, but maybe it’s time for a new sequel or even a remake. Capcom is already working on Onimusha and Okami sequels, so maybe it’s time for this survival horror classic to make a comeback. Let me know your thoughts!

Just purchased them. Look forward to giving them a go tonight and also thank goodness for GOG.

Got the email from GOG today too, but I still have the PSX disc and I like the perks of emulating. Which means I'm probably not going to buy it. Nevertheless, this is still a great development.

Man I wish I did not know about it I would badly wanna buy them but im broke after blowing 100 bucks on a figure damn you gog could you not waited until next month >.>

Sure I could Donwload iso and play on PC one but I always wanted to try the PC version.

I wonder if we ever will see the third game on gog even if it´s not the best I always wanted to try the third game.
The games can wait for you too.

I really loved what GOG did with Resident Evil. It felt like they released the definitive versions.

Super! One of the best PS1 games and DC2 is a hidden gem since not that many people played it (it's an arcade action shooter where you rack up points and combos and has dinosaur fighting game you unlock after completion, classic Capcom New Game+ content overload).

I hope after this string of preserving or remastering PS1 games (Crash, Spyro, Tomb Raider, Soul Reaver, Jedi Power Battles, Resident Evils etc.) we get PS2/PSP library ported everywhere, I haven't played A LOT of sequels to PSX games like Dino Crisis 3 or Syphon Filters after the third.

All I have to say is that this rocks! It's a great series (well, 2/3rds great) that deserves to be preserved and played by as many people as possible. I do still own my physical copies of both games (as well as, ahem, digital versions), but I am tempted to buy the GoG copies for both mod potential as well as hoping that it sends Capcom a message that we want more. Not holding my breath though. It just pisses me off so much that we likely won't see another entry in the series because 3 flopped commercially and critically. 1 and 2 were both critical and commercial successes! It's not that people hated the series suddenly, you just made a bad fucking game! Give it another chance! We could get lucky, Onimusha is getting revived, so who knows?

I remember Dino Crisis on the cover of Game Informer.

Dino Crisis is a singleplayer cinematic-camera survival horror game by Capcom, originally released on PlayStation on July 1, 1999 and on Windows September 15, 2000.

It is one of the very few survival horror games released by Capcom on PS1 to use fully 3D rendered environments instead of prerendered backgrounds. This means the PC graphics will probably look better in higher resolutions and support widescreen.

Yes, they look better.

I mean this genuinely and not at all as an insult... but is this a chatgpt message?

Seeing PC ports is nice. But with CDPR and GoG going woke with DEI, leaves me hung up on how to feel.

As i'll recommend elsewhere; Unless they sell it on a disc, don't get it. You're only buying a license/access.

> complaining about DEI
> using woke unironically
Yep, this post is a certified trash.

You love to see it! Between this and the fan poll from a couple months back, hopefully Capcom has something new for Dino Crisis in the oven.

Not even going to address the "woke"/DEI part, but:

- Buy Game from GOG
- Download Offline Installer
You now have the game and can install it at any time.
- (Optional) put installer or whole game on a disc (or SD card, HDD, NAS, Thumb Drive, whatever)
You now have a physical copy of the game.

GOG has no DRM and no need to log in to update/prove ownership/install games like other marketplaces such as Steam

Nice, I always wanted to try these but have never gotten around to it.
