It looks way cooler than the other ones imo. I was never a fan of GoW, old or new, but I dig this fantastical nexus of mythologies thing they're going for, even if I'm not particularly interested in general.
Gameplay (and cutscene direction with that shaky hand camera thing) looks about the same though which definitely isn't my cup of tea.

I'm sorry to say, but absolutely no one cares about the physical media thing outside of social media bubbles.

Even if this entire forum just so happened to be PlayStation consumers and tried boycott Sony, we'd still be just only one million people against tens of millions of others.

"Backlash" will do nothing until people stop buying crap.

Yeah jumping is always nice. I struggled with enjoying the 2018 game partly because I always felt the pace didn't fit the zoomed in camera, I felt too much like a turret.

If you're playing the PC version, or PS4 Pro/on PS5, it is possible to zoom the camera out a little more, but mainly the PC version has the FOV slider.

I got used to the camera fine, but Corey pretty much admitted they were inspired by Resident Evil 4. Ironic, because God Hand is the first over-the-shoulder brawler, and was made by main man himself, Shinji Mikami. Both God Hand and OG RE4 run on the exact same engine. GH even uses some minor RE4 assets.

I still like the Norse GoW games, but I find Evil West, Anarchy Reigns and God Hand better in terms of gameplay and combat.

It's probably bigger than that. The lawsuits in several countries and the amount of people talking about it, like Trevor Noah, tells me this goes beyond the social media bubble.
