The game caught my attention because of the new anime that came out, but I saw that the original rom isn't here, much less patched in ENG.

I’d love for that to happen, and it really shouldn’t be that hard to do, but with so many versions of the game already out there on PC, switch, and pretty much every modern console there’s probably just not enough interest to make it happen. Sad :/

yeah, I hope it catches someone's attention and they do it, I would do it myself but I have no idea how to patch a game manually tbh

So I had a quick look at both the Vita version and Switch version and good news bad news, good news is they both have really dead simple formats, the Vita version has all the images bundled into a standard PSARC file which can be unpacked with https://github.com/periander/PSArcTool?tab=readme-ov-file and the Switch version has all the images bundled into .gz compressed .bntx files which can be extracted with Switch Toolbox https://github.com/KillzXGaming/Switch-Toolbox , other versions probably will be similar but the Switch version is just the easiest to handle for me. bad news is I have no clue where the text is. The fonts are there, images, shaders, sound files, no problem, but the text data itself is nowhere to be seen which tells me it's likely in the executable, which can be a real problem unfortunately. I'd love to stand corrected on the matter but in my opinion, it would be quite an ordeal to backport the English localization of this game to the Vita.

Welp, that’s a bummer. There’s no Android version that could be ported to the Vita either, I guess it’s just not possible or at least not without a ton of work that probably isn’t worth it.

Damn, that's sad to know, and what about the steam version? It have a different format?
