Gifts you legit didn't care

My sister wanted to give me her switch free of charge which was a surprise, but I can't think much of what games to play on it. Eventually, I stop thinking about the switch altogether. I think the best gift is something that you know that you wanted and are hyped for. The worst are often surprises that you clearly didn't ask for.

I appreciate anything I get cuz I can always sell that shit if I don't like it, I can't very well ask for a big booty latina for Christmas so I just don't complain.

Love my mom but she'll have weird phases where she gets into something assuming I'm into it too gifting me stuff based on those phases. There was one year she got REALLY into Family Guy for a few months and I got mountains of Stewie Griffin related merch on my 19th birthday.

I once received a gift so bad that I've never found a photo of it online. Imagine, if you will, a desktop fish tank. Fairly simple. In fact, here's a decent example for side and dimension:

What was special about this aquarium that made me remember it for 40 years as the worst gift I ever received? The answer is as stupid as the drunkard who gave it to me for Christmas. This is an acrylic picture frame:

Now, imagine a frame much like this that can hold an 8x10 photo...upside down...hanging from the inside-middle of the black plastic top to the fish tank above. Yes, you read that right. A "Picture Frame Aquarium" - a fish aquarium where fish can swim around a sealed photograph.

I got Amazon gift cards because I worked for Amazon

Sometimes I thought that my family didn't know me at all... I was given a ton of gifts that never appealed to me in the slightest as a weelad. Not to sound ungrateful, but I was a known arachnophobic... Why would you give me a rubber spider?!

I once had a family friend who was like that uncle you wish your family hated as much as you did. he would always show up unexpectedly for me to give free baby sitting. every December we wound up with him doing Christmas with us, and he'd just wrap 10 things he found at the 99 cent store. tops, plastic army guys, those 99c tiger electronic ink screen games... you know the type. I honestly wish he would have given me nothing, it was a waste of money overall.

anyway... one year, before I even opened what he brought, he said "I heard you like skittles"
and internally... I was like "thank god, it's candy, it's cheap, but at least I'll eat it"...
...
...
Yes, he still messed up that bad.

I once got a Dragon Ball Collection CD for the PS1 on a birthday. (It's not a legit thing, it's one of those CDs where third parties just mash three games in a single disc, it was pretty popular at the time)
Yay, a collection where all the games suck! ::lol
That probably played a big part on why I can't stand the sight of anything DB related nowadays.

Eh, let me think; I think the only gift I never care about is from this local grandma, who keeps giving me shirts emblazoned with Guatamala logos every year.

Dude, I couldn't care less about Guatamala. I still accept them and tell her thank you, put it on once for her and into the box it goes filled with Guatamala shirts. She doesn't have a good memory, so it's been the same gift for the last 7 years straight.

Still, it makes her happy, so I just consider it public service. 😅

My wife always gives me a budget to buy a device and a new bottle of Captain Morgan. Now those are gifts I go crazy over. 😂

an water bottle with my name on it

I mean it was cool, but it only really added to my water bottle hoarding

(thank you older sister, I may have not care for it but I am grateful for it)
