Childhood N64 Fav of mine, this as well as Duke Nukem 64,Bomberman 64 and Mischeif Makers,my fav Stages in Gex 64: Enter the Gecko were the Scream TV Stages and the TOon World Stages (Which Parody and Reference Looney Tunes Cartoons).lol

I agree,I perfer "Collect-a-Thons" where it isn't too complex where your Booted out of a Level to "Complete a Level Objective" and also don't forget, you also get a Hidden extra remote for also collecting 30 of each specific item of that Stage (For example,The Scream TV Stage, where you have to collect 30 Skulls,30 Tombstones, ect.) and also,Bomberman 64 had an even simpler "Collect-A-THon" Gameplay mechanic, where each stage has 5 Gold Cards to collect, you get one of them by beating the stage as fast as you can under the "Target Time Limit" and you get another one for killing 30 Enemies, and the other 3 are hidden throughout the stage, and for bosses, you have you Bomb them in a specific spot to retreive Gold Cards from them, and beat the boss as fast as you can,all at the same time, infact,I even uploaded a video on which I demonstraite on how to Get all 5 gold cards from The World 1: Green Garden's "Winged Guardian" Boss :->this will give you an idea of the types of Collect-a-Thons I pefer. https://rumble.com/v325wr4-bomberma..._s_m&sci=4f580e42-9a66-4a68-a38a-693ba012c237

That's so cool, I need to play this game again now in the PS1 version to try these levels.

I played it twice, was pleasantly surprised, one thing I really like in the Gex games (which is quite controversial) is it does that thing from 3D Mario where when you enter a level and you see multiple challenges, when you reach the goal in one challenge you get booted out of the level, but the levels are structured more so like Mario Sunshine or Mario Galaxy where each challenge is like its own obstacle course so you don't feel the repetition.

I know this is very very controversial but I much prefer the way games like Mario 64, Gex and A Hat in Time do it where each level is its own thing and you get booted out of the level upon completing an objective, it gives me a sense of accomplishment, I was never a fan of Banjo Kazooie style, Donkey Kong 64 and even Mario Odyssey, the way the levels were designed feel more like a chore, wander around aimlessly look for a star to pick up, keep doing it for the next 10 hours until you see the credits.
Thank you very much for telling you about your experience with the game friend 👍🏻👍🏻.

Among all the games in the GEX Franchise the Gecko I haven't played this one but it doesn't look bad for a game along with the PS1 version.

But yeah, depending on how you feel about getting booted out you may like this game or dislike it, to me is a hidden gem.

I didn't realize the N64 versions are missing, this game in particular has an entire exclusive level on the N64... in exchange of a dozen of exclusive levels on Playstaion 👀💦
It’s a pretty interesting version yeah
