i remember that being the same reason that i stopped playing as well.

Yellow light of death, Red ring of death being the obvious ones. Got my ps2 stolen. My computer got its motherboard reked the moment i got out of my house for 1 week for a trip that i did not want to go to in the first place. Outside of hardware issues, hmm when GTA 5 did not work for me, game breaking crash. Or getting filtered by Ninja Gaiden's final boss gauntlet when i was little. Losing my saves when i was very close to beating the final boss etc, generally due to computer issues and me not doing backups. The other rage inducing moments i can remember involve not having more than 1 save file.

Outside of like obligatory online team-based salt, I'd say it would be doing any of the endgame challenges for the FF VII Remakes (in general cause they are all very infuriating), it doesn't help that they require perfect execution so if you mess it up then you either give up or just ball it till you die, especially doing any of the boss rush challenges. Also honorable mentions to sudden enemy crits in SRPGs cause that's wild lol.

It was in the Northern Crater. The path was split. I went one way all the way around to the other side collecting everything along the way. I ran into a battle before reaching the save point. I died. My save file was corrupted. O.O

I went absolutely mental when a brand new Xbox 360 got the red ring of death the third time I used it and couldn't get a refund. The first and last time I got an Xbox

It's crazy how the whole red ring saga didn't end up killing the Xbox brand.

About games, when there's some really frustrating section (a boss too difficult, protecting a character that does everything they can to die, a jump you must try to the end of time to reach a tricky platform).

About gaming life, when I bought the cd for the cheats for ps2 games: I still don't know if it's been cd's fault or my memory card's fault, but when I inserted the cd all the save data were formatted (I had an unmodded console). I lost "Suikoden 5" before the last battle and the last dungeon, and it really pissed me off.

My first moment of gaming rage because of Alba Mira in KOF 2006 which I said in another thread where I crushed a PS 1 controller in my hands.
Mind you, hard ass games on the NES or Genesis never broke me. But Alba Mira in that one trial along with the wrong number did.

I Never played Final Fantasy VII on the PS 1, during the Covid Ebola Aids outbreak, being that at the time everyone made it sound like I was gonna die if I got it, I thought, well, why not let's do the remake. "At least so I can see for myself what all the Hub bub has been about it all these years, I'll know; so if I keel over and die from Covid Aids." Well, liked it. For my very first EVER RPG, that I even even finished. I then read the novel, read what differences from Remake and OG were. Accidently found out about Aerith's fate.
Then here comes Rebirth, let's jump in. Oh look, work gave me gaming money bonus, got Tekken 8 and Rebirth. Ah, fuck Tekken 8, let's go and see how Rebirth goes. I really wanna see if Aerith is gonna be fine in this new time line. I like her.

Stellar Blade. Got to near the final boss, but I didn't level up Eve all the way. Makes it too hard. Start over? Can't skip the fucking cut scenes. takes too fucking long to sit through all that shit again.
