I always loved the idea of them releasing another Sonic movie. Then before the movie starts, before the Paramount/Sega intro that we've gotten used to by now, we see a Dreamcast 2 trailer. Everyone in the theater loses their goddam minds. Then people end up buying a second ticket to see the movie again, pull out their phones to record the trailer, and it goes viral all over the internet along with theater reaction videos

Good dream but for me a Sega console's name doesn't even really matter as long as it's da Sega console lol.

Parasite Eve: It took awhile to get another game in this series and when we finally did, it pulled one of the biggest character assassinations i've ever seen. Sure by the games plot it makes some sense, but it also kills of future potential if there were even any to consider in first place following it. I can't imagine what they could even do to fix the problems without massive retcons and at that point. Its a shame really.
Bomberman: Sure, we get the cutesy party game Bomberman's but what happened to the adventure ones like 64/second attack/heroes.
Megaman X: I can understand somewhat. I think the rep of the x5-8 has left this series is a state of caution. I think its no secret that people want more from the X series, but I really things is the fear of making another one for another bomb that stops it from happening, just leaving it dead.
Gotcha Force: What a fun game to play. It also easily captures that, gotta get'em all vibe well too. yet it seems like we'll never get another one. So much potential is just sitting there.

I think another reason people want another Mega Man X game from Capcom is that we're sick and tired of waiting on fan games that are in development for what feels like a century, not that I want to point fingers or anything...

In this case I'd say yes, but I'd also add that while that situation is 100% shitty, part of me is kind of glad that you could consider Disco Elysium a one and done? I'm curious to see what ZA/UM does next, but Disco Elysium was such a strong title that you almost have to go in with lowered expectations for anything that follows it, because how do you do that twice?

I am glad that DE is a one off and there's no need for more stories from that area of Elysium. The current devs at ZA/UM were working on a (now cancelled) game where you play as Cuno, but tbh I don't really want to stick around in Martinaise.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Oni yet? We need more input focused, fast, tough as nails brawler action games.
