They should at least have called it the Second Console Wars or something. 16-bit was the first real one since the 8-bit era was too one-sided. Arguably the 32-bit era was as well; the N64 did well in the West, but not like the PS1, and did badly in Japan.Genesis v Super Nintendo was the console wars. Anything after is some nWo with Stevie Ray and Virgil in it kind of war
I don't count that shit as "console war" at all. The actual console war was between Sega and Nintendo, anyone who disagrees never saw a console war before in their life my poor babies lolol.
you know what that means...GameStop stops gaming, gotcha ;D!
you know what that means...![]()
I think those consoles came out a bit before the N64, so it would have been at war with the likes of 3DO and Jaguar, I suppose.Actually... what console was the N64 at war with? Previous "Console Wars" were based on things like bits or power, so the PS1 would have been paired with the Saturn instead.
N64 vs... Jaguar, then? The war with no survivors :r!
Ahhh... The war on who can spend the most money on useless junk (can't the CD-I join in?). I think that one's still ongoing XDI think those consoles came out a bit before the N64, so it would have been at war with the likes of 3DO and Jaguar, I suppose.

I think that was a good trade, actually, depending on how much life was left on the CD-I's laser (and I don't see that being a catastrophic thing, either).Gods....
I had a CD-i, remember? I traded an Atari Jaguar for it. I still feel ripped off. But sure!
And Nintendo can deny it all they want. There are three Zelda games on the CD-i and a Mario game

Honestly, it was a pretty heinous system, though I will give it this...I think that was a good trade, actually, depending on how much life was left on the CD-I's laser (and I don't see that being a catastrophic thing, either).
The N64 was a rival to the PS1 too, because they existed during the same era and sold for comparable prices. The choice for consumers was between the PS1, N64 and Saturn. The Jaguar and 3DO were already dead by the time the N64 came out in 1996, as both came a little early (1993) and faded quickly. The CD-i was never alive.Actually... what console was the N64 at war with? Previous "Console Wars" were based on things like bits or power, so the PS1 would have been paired with the Saturn instead.
