Just saw this video yesterday and now I am extremely tempted to get one of these controllers. Cheap, but has pretty much everything I want from a gamepad to play retro games on my PC. Hall effect sticks on a $16 controller are great! I can't believe that Nintendo still isn't using these on their Switch 2 lmao. And I'm still salty about my current XBox One controller that came out of the box with slight stick drift, I need to use an 18% deadzone for it to function.

Anyone has any experience with these? What other nice and cheap controllers have you guys used?

I am also interested in that controller. Though I'm spoiled by the freedom of bluetooth controllers I won't pass up a decent wired controller. I usually just pick up 8bitdo controllers.

yeah, i keep seeing that popped up in my youtube recommendation. But, what's stopping you from buying a solder and an analog replacement online? would save you more money in the long run, like buying a new controller every time you got stick drift. Dualshock and Xbox controller genuine parts that has good quality are easy to find. I bought a used controller with a broken analog on purpose for VERY cheap and replace the analog. And, I am not defending Nintendo or anything, but replacing their analog is actually easier than those in a regular controller since they only uses a cable as opposed to it being soldered on the pcb. Disclaimer though, I don't own a switch, but is it that hard to open a joy con and change the analog in reality compares to disassembly videos on youtube?

For that price it is tempting. Although my DS4 controller works great for PC gaming right now.

I gotta say though, the middle buttons not being labeled START and SELECT bothers me a lot haha

it isn't hard to replace Switch sticks, I've done it before. My Switch Lite's sticks are hall effect now.

I just picked one up and it's pretty comfortable. I enjoy it more than the DualShock 4 I was using for my PC. My only gripe is why for a retro style controller did they make it so the Start/Select buttons are Capture and Home/Guide and have the actual start/select functions mapped to PS4 style Menu and Share keys? Considering the design they were going for, I would much have preferred the buttons I seldom if ever use go to the top edge of the controller rather than the buttons that look and feel like they *should* be start/select.

I know this is super nitpicky, but it bothers me more than it should. It would be one thing if they were labeled as the modern equivalent, but to make the button in the position Start is be the fucking GUIDE KEY??? WHY!?!?

I've had a few GameSir controllers in the past and they tend to be decent quality for the price but nothing special.
For that sort of price though I'd say it was worth it lol

Bought one cause I hope the company sees how popular it is and make a wireless version. It's a pretty good controller.

idk how but i read that in my head as Gamesir Transgenderterraria usb controller
and i thought
"it was made for me"
