This doesn't include games you wanted to play but lost interest in. Rather those former must-haves that either slipped your mind or fell into your cavernous backlog.

For me it's WarioWare Touched, which was half the reason I wanted a DS as a kid. Even though I got one in October the same year (2005) for my birthday for some reason I just never played it for 20 damn years. I played Twisted, Smooth Moves and DIY however.

Wario World. Used to watch the trailer on that bonus disc but never got the actual game. Never found it back then. I should get around to it. It looks fun!

I have that loaded up on Dolphin but never took the plunge. It's really funny they got Treasure of all people to develop it. I'm sure it's a fun time. I'd really like to play that Wario game on Wii though, Shake It or something.

that's like how they got the Yakuza team at Sega to make F-Zero GX/AX.

I honestly think half the reason Nintendo abandoned F-Zero is because they realized anything they do is just gonna be mogged by Sega's work on GX lol.

Edit: I forgot they did a few GBA games and F-Zero 99 after GX but that makes my argument invalid so they don't count

Vagrant Story for me. It's been on my radar since I saw the preview in PlayStation Magazine back in 2000, but for some reason I never picked it up.
I tend to play RPG's in my downtime (when I'm too tired for anything else), maybe learning a radically different combat system seems too daunting in those moments.

The Adventures of Batman and Robin. It looked like the show, looked fun, and I had an issue of, I believe, GamePro that had a full walkthrough that I read many times.

I remember seeing in a magazine in Brazil Resident Evil 0, I was like 12 at the time, I'm 33 now and never got to play the damn game...

Yeah that's been on my radar ever since I knew it existed lol, but the complexity of its gameplay is something I think I would really have to buckle down and learn. Same goes for the SaGa games. Maybe not ideal for playing at 2 AM when I cant get to sleep.

I've always wanted to play Vagrant Story too, picked it up one time, didn't like the combat system and dropped it sadly

None.

There was no such thing as a "backlog" in my life until I became an adult

Resistance 1-3 on PS3 was on my list, never got to it. Was hoping PS4 had backwards compatibility for PS3, but no luck and I don't want to pay for their PSN Subscription to play it.

Growlanser series
Literally one of my favorite RPG series, but aside of Growlanser III: The Dual Darkness I still have yet to play the others due to the first still being in Japanese.
Final Fantasy VII as well, halfway thru Disc 2 as a kid right before THAT scene I just lost interest and yet to pick it up again.

Power Rangers the Movie (GENESIS)

Played the SNES release of that movie; when I was told that the GENESIS version was better (even had mech battles), really wanted to try it but the console wasn't very available at that time near my place. Then PSX came and GENESIS was locally phased out

Now, decades later, saw the ROMs but really not keen on finding a good and compatible emulator to set up and play it with...

Blame my laziness

Tried both, left them there for a reason or another, and not really childhood but still:

"Magna Carta" for ps2, mostly because the gameplay is quite complicated (timed pressing buttons, 8 different elements to keep track off); though I would love to play it.

"Fantasy Life" in the 3ds version (tried the new game but it does not have the same charm, for me)

If we can stretch it to teenage I can say Mad Max's NES game. Always wanted to play it but never made any attempt. I didn't even learn anything about the game to see if it's just pew pew car combat game or it is more than that like the Sega Genesis game "Outlander".

For me, It's gotta be Kingdom Hearts 2.
I remember buying it back in the day, but my PS2 literally stopped working minutes after I bought it. A very unfortunate coincidence.

One day I'll play it, and it will be awesome.
