Games you love but are bad at

you're bad at Klonoa? why? those games are pretty easy.
I usually blaze through them, then reach a point where I simply cannot go further. I'm always stuck on the same level on Empire Of Dreams.

RTS games. I've spent the time or energy to get good at damn near every kind of game I'm into, but RTS games are something I've never been brave enough to commit to learning the ins and outs of. I've gotten decent at games like Halo Wars 2 before, but that's the exception and it plays so differently from anything else that a lot the skills I developed in that game don't easily transfer over to something like Starcraft or Age of Empires.

Still, I have a blast playin through campaigns and messin around with friends. Maybe someday I'll finally stop being scared of them and learn how to git gud enough to play ranked online and be decent.

extra stat gain being permanent in 6
This one eluded me for a couple playthroughs. x) I can see my brain being fried by the load times of the PS1 version, but I have no excuse for when my friend lent me his SNES and I played it the OG way. I actually really hate that stat system, I tend to just ignore Espers and rely on Terra and Celes' naturally learned magic and everyone else's special abilities. Sadly, this makes Relm basically useless and it makes Locke and Shadow really boring. Setzer is just... I don't even know. I'm sure some people like his Slot abilities, but I feel like they're too wussy for the hassle it is to nail them. Thankfully, there are a couple really great mods that change the stat system around.

Out of all the games that I like to play both old and new I am terrible at Viewtiful Joe. Either the game is really that difficult or I haven't played it long enough to get good at it.

As the title says. What are games, or genres of gaming, that you personally absolutely love, but also is completely terrible at? Games that you keep playing despite sucking massive balls?

I'll start with one of my favorites: RTS games. I love them so much, and I keep playing them, but only on singleplayer, and sometimes I even lose to the medium AI. I am just completely TERRIBLE at the multitasking and division of attention that is necessary to do well in most strategy games. But I love them. Homeworld, Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War, Beyond All Reason, Men of War, Gates of Hell, Starcraft... I keep coming back to them, having hundreds of hours in some of these, but I still am at an absolute negative level of skill or confidence to play them online. I do watch a lot of commentated matches, sometimes follow the competitive scene. But my enjoyment of these games sometimes feels more like a kid playing with a bucket of toy soldiers.
I feel similarly to some other kinds of games, but none I like and insist on playing as strongly as RTSs (I've given up on fighting games ages ago)

What are your own examples of that?
hmmm games like foctorio and city sims, any game with a mechanic to manage a lot of shit alwayse get me and i refuse to look for a guide, cuz im trying to have fun as much and possible, maybe MOBAs too im not bad but not good mostly hard stuck plat

No I thought the +1 stat was itched on the esper so when changed the character loses it well I was so wrong and realized it after like 75% of the game been finished.

I actually only played the PS1 version it needs a bit of patience but not too bad.

You need osmose and rasp on your spellcasters this means you , celes , relm and strago all in need of osmose to continue spell spam ::happyadvisor 10/10 strategy that I didnt figure until the tower of the cult , oh and another cool strat is assign espers to different characters that you want them to get spells but you may in that case need another esper stat gain so what you do is give the esper that has the spells you need to the guy until he is near level up then switch espers to esper with needed stat gain and you win in both sides::megadancebaby

I'm bad at stealth, so I wasn't able to fully enjoy "Sniper Elite 4" on Switch (those open areas were amazing). My idea was to play as silent as seen in videos on YT, but almost every time my characters was spotted and I ended up killing everyone instead of going from shadow to shadow doing stealthy kills or takedowns. Also, after many failures I've just followed the main quest without giving too much thought to every side objective in every area. In the end I enjoyed the game anyway.

Every single shmup in existence. In my head, if I don't 1CC a shmup, I must be absolutely dogshit at it. There is no inbetween for me. There can only be "I'm good (1CC perfect)" or "I'm the worst at it (anything less that 1CC)". Yes, I'm fully aware of how insane this must make me sound

Basically a lot of games, but please don't judge me now after I tell you this, I'm cheating, already since I had a C64.

I'm playing most games with cheats if available. I'm a long time member of Cheat Happens and use cheats to my convenience, not for everything though. Giving me f.ex. only unlimited health and gold in RPGs, perhaps easy crafting and endless resources, I just don't have the time anymore to grind or collect stuff, I just wanna play the game with the story and that's it. I don't do fast level ups though, I still want all my characters to evolve in a natural way if that makes sense.

Risk of Rain 2. It's so fun but I always end up dying unless I get just the right items. It doesn't help that I don't play often, so when I do everyone plays on the hardest difficulty and I'm running screaming through every stage.

Soul Calibur. I think the characters are really cool(Cassandra is my fav), but I'm shit at fighting games.

never beaten in anything above easy a fighting game, but i like the characters and the crazy Dragon Ball shit they can pull and the flatout reality warping the EVO pros do casually, and this comes from a man that can barely win a match without button mashing
