Games you have learned about because of RGT

I'm not talking about lucky Repo finds (that's easy), but about games you have discovered because of talking to other members or reading articles here.

Myself? I was just made aware of a total gem called "Flying Red Barrel: Diary of a Little Aviator" because of a random thread, and I couldn't be more thankful for it.

What games have you discovered because of this forum?

The other day, I only somehow just learned about Axelay when I asked about good shmups. Been trying to beat it over the past few nights, and DAMN is it fun!

Also, I guess you could say I learned about Flying Red Barrel just now. Just checked out its Steam page and it looks pretty cool!

HOWEVER,

When it comes to emulators and romhacks/mod, RGT has been known to point me in the right direction every time (especially with how they are nice enough to make them available pre-patched and all that). Thanks to my boy @Felipe , I got to know about Ymir, which is the ONE Saturn emulator that actually fucking works, so I can play SoTN with the Maria Renard and all the extra items in it.

um maybe not exactly on topic but i learned about a couple detective conan fan translation games from browsing the repo. i havent been fortunate enough to find out about a game that interests me from other threads since im kind of a retrobrain.

That's what makes it so great! There's not much to tell. Just drag and drop what you want to play and call it a day. I don't know if there's some new universal Emulator firmware that's going around (since this suspiciously looks like Duckstation, recent updates to ePCSXe2, and reDream) but it's such a simple and effective little thing.

Coincidentally for my answer there is only one game that fits because i havent been here for so long and its would be Kaze no Notam showcased by.... youuu! xD.

i went and played it and its a very "vibes game" imo and my god aint it for that whole soundtrack that seals the deal !, ive been here and there listening to it since you posted them, so many great tracks, thanks!

definitely plenty of romhacks for games that made significant improvements over their original releases. i've never even bothered with romhacks before finding CDromance and by extent RGT. a lot of great QoL and english patched hacks.

Shadow Hearts and Haunting Grounds. They're good! I didn't finish the second Shadow Hearts though, a lot of people say it's better than the first but I actually liked it less. I think the introduction of the "Combo" mechanic is pretty bad. Maybe I'll return to it at some point.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't read properly. It was a Repo find.
