Finished Rayman Origins, Astro Boy Omega Factor, Gunstar Super/Future Heroes, Tiny Toons Adventure Buster Bad Dream and Hajime no Ippo GBA.

I've played a bit of the Arcade version of Donkey Kong Junior and Donkey Kong 3 (then played DK3 on the NES) but since they don't have a proper ending I don't know if they count.

I've played Scramble on Arcade since it's basically the proto-Gradius (with the missile gimmick in a horizontal shooter) as well as Galaxian and Galaga (but I've played Gameboy and NES Galaxian/Galaga).

I even happened to try Space Invaders via an online arcade emulator to see how the original was (I've only tried the NES port so far).

If you got other very old school shmups as suggestions I'd like to see.

I've played through quite a lot of games so far this year:
Dragon Quest 3 HD 2-D Remake, THPS 1+2, THPS 3 OG (in preperation for 3+4 Remaster), Claire Obscure Expedition 33, Doom The Dark Ages, Parodius Da!, Gokujou Parodius, Jikkiyou Oshiberi Parodius, Sexy Parodius (I'm currently taking a break from editing a review of the Parodius Portable Collection for PSP), Parasite Eve, Steam Hearts: Saturn Tribute Re-release, Clock Tower Rewind, and this one is up for debate since it's a live service game but I did roll credits on Zenless Zone Zero season 1. That's 14 Games so far, Im counting THPS 1+2 as 2 separate campaigns

This has been a busy year for gaming for me. Finally got to sit and actually play them like the old days. I put alittle rating on each.
Resident Evil 1: Had the gc remake but never beat it. Got it on stream and finally sat and played it to beat it. 7/10: Solid game.)
Resident evil 2: Play the PS1 version. 7.5/10. Felt like RE1 but more
Resident Evil 3: ps1 version. 8/10. Had alot of fun with this one. loved the new mechanics, nemesis was much more fun to deal with.
Resident Evil 4 remake: 8/10. Had a fun time with it.
Devil May cry 5: 7/10. Game was fun when I wasn't playing as V. I like the guy but his game parts weren't that fun.
Eternal Darkness: 8/10: Great game. While I didn't replay it, I feel like I want to just for different selection on the main enemy.
Inscryption : 8/10/ Loved the game. Chp3 though is were I started to hit the "ive had enough" point and it kinda dragged from there until I was finished.
La-Mulana: 7/10 Its been a long time since I played a game where I had to write stuff down myself to keep notes. Was fun to figure the puzzles out. Bosses were kinda bs though sometimes.
Psychonauts 1: 8/10: Really fun game, loved the ideas used in the game too.
Psychonauts 2: 8.5/10: Just more Psychonauts. Felt like a perfect sequel to an already good game.
Sonic 06: 7/10: I didn't have as bad a time as people say this game is. Music was great, I'd take this story over Heroes story. It wasn't terrible. Cool villian and I liked most of the stages. Definitely did need some polish in places.
Elden Ring: 7/10. There alot of things I hate about this game but enough to counterbalance it. Most of my like of it comes down to the visuals of the world and some parts of the lore. In contrast, there are several things about the lore and how to find it that I hate and alot of the bigger sized enemies just don't function well.
Elden Ring Nightreign: 6/10: Playing with randoms only I have given it a 5 but playing with friends bumped it up and was much more fun. All the likes and dislikes I have with Elden ring is here too.
Chrono Trigger: 7/10: Solid rpg, interesting story. Really love being able to combine skills with other party members to make new skills. Around the time I got Ayla is when I started to drop off and my overall interested started to waver. I kinda wish I played it back in the day instead of now. I think younger me would have appreciated it much more.
Bomberman 64: 7/10. Why can't you jump? Was fun for what it was. Getting all the Gold cards was a pain though. I started this game is February and I just finally finished it playing it off and on this past August.

Too many to name, but I finished Parasite Eve 1 for the first time, God tier game. The fact it hasn't gotten a remake yet is criminal, I've played PE2, and 3rd Birthday, I know they're not as beloved as PE1, but I enjoy them. As a survival horror fan, PE2 is pure bliss.

Just finished beating this jerkass, but in all honesty, Alcahest is one of those games were Squaresoft tried a different approach to the regular RPG structure, with a party and everything, and NAILED IT, i recommend it if you want a different experience, and honestly it was quite the journey. Also, as per tradition, Squaresoft's sound team always bringing the BANGERS to the table:

My annual fall spooky game marathon is coming along well. I've beaten a resident evil each year and I gotta say RE3 seems like it was wayyy easier than the first two, even playing on hard. I finished the game with like 40+ magnum rounds, like 30 something grenade rounds of various types, and god knows how many mine thrower rounds. I beat the final boss first try even though I left multiple R+G mixed herbs in the item box.

I've played Recca weeks ago (with savestates) because it's quite hardcore.

More recently I've done the single player playthrough of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds somewhere else on a PS5 because I want to wait for sales on PC.

Yesterday I've finally finished the final boss in Guilty Gear The Missing Link on PC.
