Games you bought for the wrong System that you Regret buying

Bloodstained on switch, it's a really good metroidvania but fuck me the switch port run bad and looks worse. Funny thing i bought for 14 euros when on the playstation store is usually on 9 euros
I think there's also DRM on the physical release. I'm really salty about how they handled that game on the Switch.

I think it never happened to me, mainly because I didn't have the choice; for example, when I had the psvita I didn't own other Sony consoles or the Switch, so I HAD to buy the title for vita even if, say, it was also being released on Switch with better performance. I have no regrets, though, I'm totally ok with the consoles and the game versions I bought.
Right now I have a Switch but not other modern consoles like ps4/5/xbox or even a gaming pc, so if a title is released on multiple consoles I'm still stuck with only one choice!

child of light wiiU, look at that game, it's simple as F, i didn't think it would matter plus it used touch controls which were a bit useful, (theres a cursor with right stick elsewhere or PC using mouse) it was fine to play entirely but...
i got it on PS3, THREE, it was hugely improved!!
on WiiU, a fight transition took near 20 seconds before i can do anything, enough time to stretch your hands and put the gamepad down and pick it back up after.
on PS3 it just GOES no loading! fade in fight, fade out back to map, immediately. you never wait at all!
also the DLC didn't come to the wiiU version at all! so another plus to PS3 (or any other console)
now it's also on ps4 and newer stuff with graphics improvements

now i know, all the wiiU game multiplatforms were terrible, many change gameplay to accomdate the weak ass WiiU

it's the same with Switch1 to PS4, it's nowhere close, some ps3 games still look better than switch 1 does

and now switch 2, ps5 looks better still.

nintendo is always behind in hardware, they only do their own games good (which i love zelda, mario, smash bros, mario kart, so im not hating nintendo 100%)

You could make the argument for a lot of the Wii U games that were ported to Switch too. Most of them seemed to be greatly improved, or at least feature additional content, after being ported to the Switch.

I bought Castlevania: Curse of Darkness for the Xbox. I read that the 360 had made a TON of games backwards compatible.

Curse of Darkness is one of the ones that's not, so now it just sits on my shelf ::badpc

I've never bought a game for the wrong system, I have a 100% accuracy rating when it comes to my history of choosing games based on compatibility.

However, one game I regret having bought was Clayfighter, and I'm prepared for the hate I'm probably gonna get for this, but let me just start out; I was never huge into 1v1 fighting games. Having grown up playing NES RPGs and various platformers and shooters, there were a lot of options as far as genre variety, and standing there trying to mash buttons like a lunatic in order to figure out combos or special moves never struck me as a particularly good time.

That said, I was at the store and had some sort of "sudden" moment where I was getting a game I was not expecting to be. I was increasingly rushed to make a decision as to what to purchase, and hadn't yet had time to peruse every SNES game on the shelf, even the ones in price range. I glanced around quickly in a panic, and snatched it off the shelves expecting some sort of Frosty the Snowman adventure game, didn't even get a chance to look at the back of the box. If I had, I might have figured out it was another 1v1 fighting game and picked something else, anything else would have probably been a good time. But that's what I ended up getting.

It definitely stood out for it's genre for sure, and I didn't hate every moment of playing it. But I have no desire to suddenly pick it up and play it again.
