Absolum - Took me 8 runs total, but I finally defeated the Undead/Lich King. One of the four major bosses. I got the frog guy as the final playable character. I also unlocked another NPC who goes back to the home base. I love how this games has hidden areas, and interactions that expand the lore. Cider his hands down, my favorite character. She's got multi hitting combos for days.I died in the training ground area after the swamp, so it's back to the beginning again, but I am so much stronger now. 16K+ is my best score run right now.

Can any mods pin this topic? It gets used daily and we got over 40 pages now.

Currently bouncing between playing Gears Of War (the og 360 version) on my Series, the gba game Drilldozer on my Android phone via pizzaboy A emulator, and Higurashi When They Cry: Chapter 1 - Oninakushi on my PC.

Currently close to finishing Heaven's Feel route of Fate/Stay Night (PC Ultimate Edition) but i also started Peace Walker HD (Ps3) with a buddy::chocobo-wave and i also still have Trails In The Sky (PC original) to finish, currently about halfway

Still plugging away at DMC3 for PS2, the OG version with the Japanese hard as normal mode, not Special Edition. It's what I'm used to! As well as Donkey Kong Country SNES replay (almost done actually) and... as always... I boot up House of the Dead 2 arcade almost daily on Flycast to see if I can improve my one credit run any. (DO NOT GET THE REMAKE IT IS AWFUL OK)

Im thinking into trying a weird eastern european horror abandonware title from 2005 (It's called bloodline)

Dunno when

I was playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on the PS5 until the winter sale happened. That's when I picked up Monster Hunter World and it became my only gaming focus.

I guess I'm also playing a couple PSP games: Midnight Club 3, Gladiator Begins, and Street Unleashed 2. But really I only play those when I'm waiting for an appointment or to meet up with someone.

Im a little late to the game, but finally beat Xenoblade Chronicles 1 definitive, and now moved on to XC2.
Loving the upgrade to the battle system, and there's so much to do....overwhelmingly so.

I feel like i need to find a guide just to cover the high and low tides treasures, and drops from spelunking. Might be a few months till i finish this one :D

Finished Gears of War and started Gears of War 2 (x360) on my series X.

I managed a no death run of Spike Out: Final Edition. I used White. I have not played this game since the early 2000s. It's nice to have this game on disc, even though I had to buy Pirate Yakuza to play it. Good news, I got Pirate Yakuza on sale, so it's not like a paid full price. Back on topic, the game is pretty much 3D Streets of Rage 4, but not in name. There are at least two character analogues to Axel and Blaze. This game is the most late 90s SEGA Arcadey game ever made by SEGA. The game has alternate paths it does not tell you and you have to figure out on your own. You can go up to 4 player, but make sure you have the equal amount of controllers to how many you have with you. The game will split into different and smaller square screens, so I suggest playing this on big screen, if you got it. I'll probably do a different character run later on.

Dragon quest IX.

This song,

Caught me at a low moment. So I figured I'd give the game a shot.

Shout out to The Repo for making that possible.

The rules of this thread are simple: Post what video game you're currently playing, what platform you're playing it on, and what you think of it. Feel free to comment on the choices of your fellow members, too.

I'll begin: I just finished my second playthrough of Castle Quest on Gameboy (and by "Gameboy", I mean the Delta emulator on my iPhone), and had a blast doing so! This game is a really neat combination of chess and War (the card game), and makes a great series of little strategy puzzles whenever you have a few minutes to spare. I've beaten both this version and the original on NES before (the Gameboy one is preferable, as it has more content), but I found out through The Cutting Room Floor that there's actually a secret level I never knew about, so that was justification enough for another go. Highly recommended!

I've also been trying to 1CC the NES version of Castlevania for the past several months, and by golly, is it ever hard! This is the only CV game I've played extensively, and while I like to think I'm getting better at it – I just beat Death without using the holy water, score! – I can't defeat Dracula's first form without losing all my lives. The game is very fun, but I can only do two or three run-throughs a day before I feel my life force being drained out of me – which, being a game about vampires, I suppose is the point.

(Finally – I get to be the one posting this thread topic on a new forum! I'll accept my congratulations in the form of gold or NVIDIA stock. ::banana)
Sakura wars, sega Saturn. Saroo. I love it so much, made me see there might be some dating SIM games, that have some merit. I don't really care about the romance but it does affect the stats and Sumire is cool. I haven't been playing it loads, I tend to play many games all at once. So I never finish any lol. I hope I can figure out how to play the translation of the sequel, but it bugs out on my Saroo. Might have to play on an emulator with my crt pc monitor. If I can fix the colours.

Good luck

No seriously, good luck, that level is the first time the game throws hands

Especially that damn section to lift Clanker
I literally was going to quit at clanker's cavern until someone said that holding R/L (i can't remember) during swimming gives you better control, and damn if they weren't right on the money.

Dragon Quest IX is a fun game with an interesting story. It's lacking in the character department, like past DQ games - minus VIII. The gameplay is solid an I love me some turn based action.

That being said....Chrono Trigger is just better, imo. The combat, world, characters, story. All of it has my attention by the balls an I don't want to stop playing.

So I'll put Dragon Quest on hold to finish this gem. I cannot believe I've never played Chrono Trigger before but I'm glad I can now. ::terriermon-happy

I'm playing Reverse Collapse and Chronicles of Riddick: EFBB. I plan on returning to Xenogears after I finish one of those two, had reached the Kislev prison area before I stalled it.
