Been looking around for some 3DS games and learnt that A-Train was released for it. Quite surprised by that, so I gave it a try and -

Madam please button up your shirt, we have trains to move.

After playing some Shadowgate 64, I did some research on the original NES trilogy of adventures: Deja vu, Uninvited and Shadowgate. And I learned it's called the MacVenture Series and it has a fourth game never released on the NES

A very underrated Sci-fi Racer with great and fastpaced gameplay , great racing-tracks and with unintentionally funny animations combined with trash-talking of the most arrogant and flattest kind ever but the coolest part is that every character speaks their own language and even tge countdown is in every language spoken written . The soundtracks are really nice Trance/techno that is rather smooth and action-packed when it needs too.

Sword World SFC

This is actually japanese Baldurs Gate which is glorious and its in the world of "Record of Lodoss-war" . And I like Record of Lodoss-war alot (Peak fantasy anime besides the Wizardry OVA) .
The game can be complicated because it truly put all rules of the japanese Tabletop RPG game into this game and you even need the Rulesbook to understand its mechanics . While it sounds cumbersome , i think its actually awesome ! Now i have a great TTRPG book in a PDF-format and the Snes game to play it . Even with its 0.99b version of the translation , its very playable and awesome . Maybe still more on basic side but this game is such a badass rpg gem . I hope they finish the translations and work on the second games translation .

However point of this thread is "reporting" what game you discovered among not worldwide popular ones and what you think about it which has way more point for me TBH.
So, have you discovered any cool games lately?
Yes and no:

I don't have many game to play in my list anymore so I spend my gaming time with discovering and playing random games from random platforms. This game was in my "to check out" list for a while just because it is a Square Enix game and from the surface it seemed "cool" but TBH it was barely a decent game. This is the game I would say "good decision" if it was cancelled:

The game is developed very badly and in a classic lazy Japanese game style of its era very common in anime games and it is like a Dynasty Warriors games. In each level they throw you into an area and either beat the enemies around or just walk to the destination. You earn skill points to upgrade your character and all but the game has no fun gameplay whatsoever. You just spam attack no matter what it comes and that is it. The game is very bad for they didn't even bother assigning the right analog stick for camera movement, to see in front of yourself you gotta press a button to make camera show you from your behind to reset its POV it is that stupid. At least when an enemy is near you can lock the camera to it. Pretty much a low-quality rubbish moment here. Almost as if the game was going to have a fixed camera but they made a last-minute decision lol.

As for story, I don't care about stories in games but this game shit into it further. Pretty much a classic "we were living peacefully and oh no monsters came" shit with "sci-fi" twist and it can only make sense to a person who understand Japan's culture beyond anime and shit. Simple "white" vs "black", "good vs white" shit, "planet trying to kill us" and "we all gotta survive". That is like a sci-fi version of Japanese history. On top of generic of generic your character is a kid who have special powers and his whole existence is looking for his sister. They had no idea what "story" to even write. Pretty much stupid characters with stupid designs coming and talk for hours by using generic of generic shit to say and there is less of a game. It was better off a movie at this point. Instead of generic "magic fantasy world" they replaced laws of physics with "digital shit" and called it a day. If you like Digimon and Megaman it can be your shit for how theme is relevant, otherwise despite I like sci-fi too much low quality shit made me puke while hair design and fashion statement of characters are enough to puke for already lol.

Verdict: If the game were alive I would say "death penalty", if you see the same dudes even work at the McDonald's you wanna eat at just don't eat there because clearly they can't even clean toilet. What there is only to link in the game is that the font they used is cool and that's all about it. -9000/10. Give me back my hours dammit!!! lolol

EntãoSo it's kind of like Romeo and Juliet's family.
I really like the franchise, but there are some aspects of the newer games that just seem...pushed or pulled from the main thing that made the franchise stand out. Mirage, for example, was good, but the combat, crafting, story (except maybe the assassination parts and the ending I guess) weren't as good as shown, I knew from the beginning that the game will not be like the older ones. However, the stealth was quite good.

EIt's like me and Pokémon; I don't like the new games because I'm not drawn to them, even though I didn't live through the Pokémon Red era. I just don't see the appeal of the same Pokémon every day.

I played Pikmin 3 and Breath of the Wild.
I've been getting back into Breath of the Wild again lately, there are aspects about the game I like more than Totk, but I've gotten so used to Totk's convenient menu UI and being able to use materials and fusion, so it's somewhat hard to go back. 😅

Ultimamente tenho jogado Breath of the Wild novamente. Há aspectos do jogo que eu gosto mais do que em TotK, mas me acostumei tanto com a interface de menus prática de TotK e com a possibilidade de usar materiais e fusão, que é um pouco difícil voltar atrás.😅
Será possível?Am I the only human being on Earth who has never judged the two Zelda games for Nintendo Switch? I don't own a video game console, and I don't even have the money, considering the game costs 300 to 400 in my country.

I'm still on that Ninja Gaiden 4 grind for now, though I've been playing some classic Doom here and there too. I've been catching up on some of the DBP Doom WADs I've missed.

Silly
Ninja Gaiden only goes up to 3 😂

Today:

- My wife and I have beaten PowerWash Simulator 2 in coop splitscreen
- And I played some Link: The Faces of Evil for the first time in a long time

Was checking out some NES/Famicom games today and I tried Solar Jetman and Daiva for the first time. I enjoyed what little I played of Solar Jetman, one of those games I might come back around to one day, and Daiva was a whole lot of fun in multiple genres. Definitely worth a play even though mechs aren't really my thing. ::thumbsupwario

OláHey my friend, how are you? As I was saying, I was playing Animal Crossing DS and I paid off my mortgage.

Fair enough I suppose
Could probably be a good idea to rename the thread to avoid confusion

I played the ”Freemastered” hack of Mario Kart Super Circuit today. Such an underrated Mario Kart game imo, excellent gamefeel for what is essentially just souped up Super Mario Kart, and that collection of patches makes it ever so slightly better which is just grand.

I'll do no such thing.
I wanted a thread specifically for the purpose of what games community members have recently discovered for themselves, be they new or old games, what the individuals have currently been getting into.

However anyone determines the intent or purpose of the thread beyond that is their own matter and concern, not mine.

This should have come up when I searched for this type of thread specifically. 😫
Why does our search bar suck so much

played a bit of Forgive me Father and Super robot wars 30

trying to get through Sonic the Hedgehog on the original Sega Genesis, i love it for what it is but geez that game is miserably difficult, although its not too hard to the point i get hard stuck on a stage, but you still have to go through a lot of trial and error.

other stuff im playing include:
- Odin Sphere (PS2): big review coming soon
- Midnight Club: Los Angeles (Xbox 360): loving it so far but also very tough in difficulty
