Games to play on @cid

I once got suckered into partaking in this the clerics really hyped it up saying it was so cool and trippy it was very over rated and I got sick and puked. My wife too was suckered by the clerics and whatever it ended up being made her feel like her skin was on fire. I recommend getting e drunk on sea of theives or e high on gta v instead. Its a much better experience and if you already have those games you save money too. I do not ever recommend buying or even taking strange substances from strange people especially in 2025 just a little bit of that fent can take you away like a kick in the back from Patches.
Patches you should sell laced fent to wandering adventurers.

Dood drugs lmao. What if i smoked that crack and snorted some cocainum while playing vidya james wouldn't that be funny?
Me being a jackass aside, play some Yume Nikki or whatever, i don't use drugs so idk how all of this bullshit works.

Me either. But I once had a bad migraine during a heatwave. The AC was busted. So I decided to play Touhou Ten Desires. All the stage backgrounds are dark and there's lots of colored spirit orb thingies to collect. I did very well and felt very weird. Try it maybe. It was head explodingly painful. But a bizarre experience.

I don't and never will do any kind of drugs but I adore my trippy games.
Anything on Steam by Jeff Minter, that includes Tempest, Jeff Minter collection, Polybious, Grid Runner in Minotaur Arcade.

Then there's Rez Infinite or if you have a PS2 or DC and a nice CRT TV with a curved screen, then play those versions of Rez for sure.

Horizon Chase Turbo also has an amazing trippy vibe and is a pure no nonsense arcade racing game with amazing music and atmosphere.

Tho not very trippy, Nex Machina could probably be enjoyed on acid a great deal given its flashy visuals and phenomenal electronic music and simple gameplay.

There are many many games like this, there's the Geometry Wars series too.

Alpha Waves on DOS would be a trip. It's arguably the first 3D platformer and visually would fry your mind.

Could also try Toonstruck if you want to get high and watch Christopher Lloyd walking around a cartoon.

Finally, it would be remiss of me not to mention incredible crisis, a game that was probably made on acid in the first place and should be played as such.

Alpha Waves is incredible, I forgot what it was called but I played it years ago and it's just such a perfect example of what makes old games so unique and atmospheric.

Speaking of trippy games on old hardware, albeit a new game, yoomp! 64 is an absolutely amazing C64 game
I recorded a short clip of me playing it on real hardware during a huge spring shower, the vibes were simply out of this world for me

it's an unlisted video, not plugging anything i use this channel as both a youtube and personal channel and nothing will ever be monetized. I've been modded for sharing unlisted videos on GFAQs before until i explained to the mods that when i post unlisted it's just my own personal stuff i want to share. That was back then nowadays they mod you regardless lol

I've had a strange fascination with the Commodore 64 my entire life btw

C-64 was meh main shit before the advent of Xmas '86 when I got more into the rise-of-prominence of the consoLe with NES n SMS. never actually got an Amiga partly cuz of this - which I find sometimes a legit regret

C64 had awful broken games for the most part, but the games it had were very atmospheric.
Now depending on whether you lived in Europe or the US your C64 experience definitely differed a lot as the system was more popular here in Europe and more games were made for it that I believe never got NTSC releases.

LOAD "prnzo-wuz-in-USA", 8, 1... Run.

wut, a Ready prompt?? again... Run.

RUN again wtf - wait maybe I'm seein that term in the wrong context... n I should RUN screaming like I did from meh tape-drive text adventure that finaLLy loaded up at eerie 3am xD

I played the first F-Zero and a lot of Mario all stars once all night like that.

Personally I haven't done shit like that in a decade but if I was going to it'd probably be some colorful SNES through Dreamcast era games. I'd probably stick to snes or Genesis for simplicity but I've had an interesting time playing n64, ps1 and dc out of my mind before. Modern games would probably freak me out but there's a lot of bright colors and overall weirdness in those generations of games that could be interesting.

First time I ever tripped I blasted off playing Super Bust a Move. I thought I got ripped off because it hadn't hit and my friend and I were just playing that wasting time and that game took me to another dimension. puzzle games are a good choice too. Just don't stay at anyone's house that has a bathroom where every wall is a mirror, that was the weirdest piss of my life.
