Games that you never finished that are quietly Judging you

The legend of Zelda: A link to the past.

Played for around 2 hours, enjoyed every minute then never picked it up again.

Yakuza 0. I really enjoyed the game but could never fully focus a crazy amount of time in it for some reason.

Infamous 1. I completed the hero run years ago and have been meaning to do an "infamous" run after. That was 2019 lol.

Fight Night Champion: made it sll the way to Isaac Frost and he's a MF to beat.

Warhammer Boltgun: Got lost in a section lost patience and Just never picked the game up again.

Tekken 6: i never finished the scenario campaign despite getting very deep into it

I've been sitting in front Tales of Legendia's first final boss for over 15 years. There's a reason for this. So the way the game's story is structured is the first 40 hours are the main part. After that the next 40 hours are all character stories that give all your party members a complete story arc.

Here's the issue. Around the time I was close to beating the main story, a friend notified me that the director chose to only dub the first half of the game in english. I had really become attached to the main cast. Playing the next 40 hours without any voice acting sounded horrible. As much as I loved the characters, it completely killed my motivation to finish.

And the japanese version was fully voiced! Stupid cost-cutting director ruined the overseas release. Legendia is already considered the black sheep of the series due to its awful battle system. The characters carry the entire experience. Yet Namco couldn't even do THAT properly. ::sadkirby
That's a bit like finding out that the Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force games on PSP had voice acting, but only in the Japanese versions! Made it really hard to go back to the western versions afterwards.

I was also a big fan of the Neptunia series for a while, and had similarly grown attached to the English dub VO cast. One of the only spin-off games I never finished was in part because they didn't bother doing an English dub at all when they released it in the west.

Stellar Blade- Near the end, I didn't level Eve enough as I should have to be that close to the end.

Iron Meat- Liked it, can't get very far though. Fast and hectic, I've seem to lost my touch at Contra type shit, as I'm currently having a bitch of a time in Ninja Gaiden Ragebound.

Diesel Legacy- Did story for several characters, just haven't been able to get motivated to do rest of cast, even though I really liked the game.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth- Got to the beach section, was enjoying the game. Some bunghole ruins the fate of Aerith, which I was playing to get to, so I could see it for myself. Haven't brought myself to wanna continue playing now because of it.

I'm so sorry someone ruined that for you in Rebirth!

need to get stuck into the attitude era mode on wwe 13 as well you get some amazing unlocks
I did manage those back when that game came out, but thankfully I still have my old PS3 & WWE '13 save file. I don't think I'd have the patience to finish attitude era mode again hehe

I have like 200 hundred hours in the first Baldur's Gate and finished that one. I've tried to pick up the second one and put like 15 hours in it three different times and tapped out for some reason. I had over 100 hours in Baldur's Gate 3 and didn't get to finish it before my hard drive shit itself and I'm not doing that again. Time is more precious now and I can't pour so many hours into games in general now so it's never happening lol

Dragon Quest 3 remake and Dragon Quest 11. Got to the very end and got sick of grinding to face the final part of the game.

Armored Core 6, got to the Enforcer and keep getting him down to about 15% health before getting killed every time.
That is the double-edged sword of RPGs. I love 'em, but making you grind is the easiest way for them to make the game longer. I've yet to finish any Xenoblade game for that reason.

Shadow Hearts: From the New World. Shadow Hearts 1 is my favorite RPG, and I have played it a multitude of times, and while I found Covenant not as engaging as the first game, I do still really like it and have played through it a few times. From the New World has some fun, off-the-wall ideas, but I miss Yuri from the previous two games, and Johnny as the main character is such a downgrade that it bugs me. I do still want to see how it ends someday, just... probably not soon.
