Early this year I made a review of Freedom Wars Remastered because I put maybe 150 hours on the original Vita release but well, this new version makes me realize that I think I don't like it anymore. Nothing really appeals to me anymore and hunter games must be one of my favorite subgenres.

A couple years ago I had almost the same feeling with the GTA series in general. I think I don't like these modern day open world action games anymore.

What games make you feel something like that?

Tekken.

I enjoyed the first three games on the PS1 a lot and Tag 1 is easily one of my favorite FGs ever, but once 4 and onwards rolled around, I was mentally checked out of the series. I had a terrible experience with 5 and 6 wasn't any better, I fared slightly better on 7 and was on my way to enjoying it, but as soon as 8 dropped, it completely destroyed all the goodwill the series built with me, lol. It did almost every bad choice possible and made me completely give up on a series I wasn't in such good terms with already.

There was a time where i was so into Undertale, that i would watch every video essay, all the mysteries, secrets and all that. Now, I can't stand anything related to it.

Hmmm..... this is Hard.

Man personally i don't think i have a game that i used like but actively disliked nowadays. The closest things to it probably.

Mortal Kombat

I don't know what makes me fall out of love for Mortal Kombat, the more i'm racking my brain the more "Eh i just grew up" comes lol, like tbh after MK9 even i don't think i'm interested in MK anymore and since X i've been actively avoiding it since.

The Second Closest probably.

DotA

I've been a follower for Defense of the Ancients since Warcraft 3 days, but nowadays anything about DotA didn't excites me anymore, hell i think at that point for the entirety of MOBA lol but DotA Specifically.

I used to like Persona 4 a lot when I was a teenager, I remember I played the vanilla version on a PS2 emulator on my PC, I finished the game back in 2019, but my opinions about this game changed a lot when I decided to replay it again in 2022 using the Golden version, and honestly I don't really like it anymore, apart from a few characters.

Most FPS games, like any Counter Strike game. I used to like these alot now i dont see the appeal of playing them at all.

Overwatch and Fate Grand Order. Usually I have trouble stopping caring about things, so it's fascinating to me how much my interest in Overwatch evaporated. It's because they ended up showing too much and made me realize all the supposed substance of its story was an illusion and actually worse than most other online games. Only thing I still like about Overwatch is the Dinoflask videos.

Fate Grand Order is due to me reevaluating how the game was actually using mythology more critically and realizing far more of it is done poorly than well. The gameplay was bad but I kept playing for the story, so when the story stopped being a draw the game lost its appeal. I still like the first story arc and some characters despite everything, but I haven't bothered to follow anything since beyond what a friend who is a fellow jaded fan tells me. At least Melty Blood Type Lumina has put Mash in a real video game instead of a service.

Used to enjoy Twilight Princess, after all it was the Zelda that came with my Gamecube in my Birthday, now that i played the rest of the series... it just havent aged as good as i remember, the Dark Mirror dungeons are a drag (Looking at you Coocoo castle) the bosses even for the usual "Use the item to win" standars feel too gimicky with only Zant and Ganondorf feeling like tests for the player and mechanics that feel curbersome (YES MIDNA I WANT TO TURN INTO A WOLF STOP ASKING ME)

As mentioned by a poster above: Super Smash Bros Brawl. I already went as to why i don't like it in another thread, so instead i will mention Pokémon Yellow.

Simply put, i consider Gen 1 Pokémon to be too rough around the edges to be revisited, and i prefer simply playing the GBA remakes instead (i played a GBA Pokémon romhack that is just a Remake of Yellow and it made the original Obsolete)

Pokémon. I loved the first four generations as a kid. I even played Pokémon Violet as an adult and mostly enjoyed it. But I think I've had my fill. I feel zero desire to revisit any of the main titles in the series.

I put Pokémon Conquest on my DS flash cart and could maybe be persuaded to give Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness a go because I never got to play them as a kid, but aside from trying those spin-offs I think I want to divorce myself from the franchise.

the general movie game genre
for example: when uncharted 2 came out i remember thinking it was immensely swag and that it was one of the best games to come out that generation thus far
fast forward to todayzors and i genuinely cannot play it for more than 30 minutes without being bored to tears

time spliter future perfect
fable 1
capcom vs snk 2 2001
have just play them to mutch so i do not like them anymore

The FATE series. I was obsessed with those games. Now I can't get into them.
how do u feel about the VNs? i still absolutely adore F/SN (*looks at my Archer command seal hand tattoo*) I dont think ive ever been too into the actual full on Fate games though (excella, samurai revenant, etc)

I'm still planning on playing Fate/Extra. :-D

Smackdown vs RAW 2010(the AI traumatized me+probs has ≥300 hours playtime with that one)
YESSSSSS for me its the same with any SVR game. Why did I play those so much lmao once you get to reverse everything it stops being fun. Like I couldn't get my hands off them even after unlocking everything and being singleplayer, things of being an excitable child.

Oddly enough, the Bioshock trilogy.

Not to say the games are bad in any way. On the contrary, they were great during their respective times. I'm sure that if someone were to play it for the first time via the collection, they would enjoy this immersive FPS. I can't recommend the series enough, even though I would recommend System Shock more. But for me, each one was just a one-off. I couldn't bring myself to play them again and I have them on both Console and PC. I've tried 3 times over the years with each installment but that 'meh' feeling took hold and that was the end of it. I've even watched speedruns and was impressed with the runs. But even to this day, I can't go back to it. Thank you for the memories and I'm sorry it can't be revisited. Also, I did NOT miss nor would I ever recommend the multiplayer for Bioshock 2. I'm not sure if it was me, but damn it was just a hot mess.

Persona 3. The game aged like a bagel, due to a lot of reasons. Quoth myself:

It (well, Persona 3 was, but Portable has the better protagonist) was the first of its kind and was pretty great for it. But in hindsight...

Most of the social links are Kotone - the MC - being talked at, rather than to, and she lacks the ability to express a personality hidden underneath her cheery facade outside of Saori's, Shinji's, Aigis', and Akinari's slinks. She feels like a passenger in her life, and suffers more than the usual atlus MCs fighting against being made into a self-insert because she's *also* fighting against the male MC's complete indifference to being alive in the shared slinks. The story is incredibly backloaded, taking place predominantly in the last two months.

The combat also aged poorly, because it's a very rudimentary version of the One More system. Even vanilla Persona 4 upgraded it a bit. Tartarus was always horrible, though.
