Trauma center: I love, love, love, love this game. But since it stuck on a nintendo DS touch screen gimmick, its over.

Shenmue: Everything about Shenmue is a missed opportunity, it introduced a system that no one asked for, but has a cool story, nice combat and environment, but since stupid Yu Suzuki fuck it up so badly with Shenmue III, there's absolutely no way we are having a sequel.

Half Life: The ultimate meme game, while fatso gabe newell has two gyms for decoration in his multi million dollar yacht, we will never have de last chapter in this series, ever.

There are quite a few that I am bummed about never getting to see more of. Three of those I would like to see the most are:

LowGMan (NES)
Bounty Hounds (PSP)
Chakan (Genesis/Mega Drive)

They all have interesting takes on the genre they are connected to, and do not have the benefit of being connected to a popular IP or mascot. In a way, they are lost games. There is basically no chance we will see revivals of these great games. :(

I seem to recall Shigesato Itoi saying in a Japanese magazine interview that he'd prefer to play Mother 4 as a regular player rather than be the director, something like that.
Oddity was supposed to be that game, but sadly, it seems that project was just a huge smokescreen or maybe was trapped in development hell.
