recently i’ve been trying to complete my backlog of games, i’ve found some hidden gems , games i fg abt , games that i played for the first time and…games that are there because i js couldn’t get into it after a couple of tries. A few of those games being cyberpunk, Witcher 3, and Max Payne. Max Payne is extra salt on the wound because I have the ps2 original copy and i js can’t get into it. So my goal with this post is to not feel alone on this thought, what are some games no matter how many times you play you js can’t get into it?

fighting games as a whole, once i finally got the hang of basic motion inputs. and also stopped using a keyboard after my earliest attempts
i think also the first Trails in the Sky was an on-and-off venture for a couple years before the steam english release was a lot more comfortable to play, along with me finally clicking with its magic customization, which i now consider one of its biggest strengths.

I had to try Arcanum/Temple of the Elemental Evil (PC games) several times till i finally got into them and finished them.

Came from Fire Emblem and tried another game from Intelligent Systems, its very much different to FE i just can't get into it. Now I'm on the DS titles, it took me 7 years to try it again.

this pains me , this is one of my favorite games
100% a great non AA or AAA game.

I rarely have any trouble with games, except the text strategy rpg games....Koei why did you do these. Another would be the earlier Super Robot War games...you know around the SNES era. If you play them like modern ones, you will die quickly.

Dynasty Warriors, including any licensed variants. I like the idea of sending jillions of people flying with my rad attacks, but then I fire one up and after about 15 minutes, I want to go do something else. Maybe they get really great later and I'm just not giving them enough of a chance, idk

Great game indeed. But the first time I played it I did it the wrong way, with no strategy, and when I reached the last boss I couldn't beated it because I was under leveled. The next year I wanted to give it another try, and wss finally able to finish it at 100%, thinking which homunculus to use with every boss to deal as more damage as possible.

generation of chaos
semi hard game
the dragon bosses so hard the first time you play the game
if i remeber correctly its this generation of chaos that has many campaigns so you play as different race
and each race has a different story

Any Monster Hunter Games really.

Or Personally for me.
Stardew Valley - Wikipedia

For the record when i first encountered Stardew Valley, i was expecting something that close to Rune Factory, to be fair to some degree it does scratch that itch, but for me at the time there's just Something missing from it that kept me on and off the games at times.

It get so bad that i basically needed to trick myself with Installing Mods so my brain can at least think YES THIS IS FINE to finally get into the game lol.

I guess Donkey Kong Country Returns, didn't got use to it to the point I felt bad and got the 3DS version. The Wii controls did no favors for that game...

I keep trying to play xenoblade 2 and it keeps pissing me off so I keep dropping it
And it's funny because I absolutely loved the first game

I love Dark Souls but I bounced off it hard the first time I played it.
I came back to it like 6 months later and suddenly it just "clicked" for me

Bioshock

First time I played it I found it boring
Decided to give it another go, loved it

Every SaGa games, really. They took time to get used to because they're just so different from most RPGs that cheats and guides are mostly useless unless you can actually datamine.

Took me a few times to see Final Fantasy VI through, but the last time it really got it's hooks into me.

I've been like this with a few Turn-Based RPGs, as it's a genre I didn't start appreciating more until I got a little older.
