Kind of the natural progression to a degree considering that gaming isn't really deemed the healthiest choice. Some examples even lean completely into it, pun intended. Do you like those? Or was it too paradigm to the ancient gaming ways? I think DDR is still pretty solid. Especially since they've now included even Megalovania into it, the fucks.

I liked the arcades in which you got on the motorcyle, and the pedals for Time Crisis.

DDR is fine I guess.

Maybe when motion controls aren't trash, or if the Kinect wasn't garbage it might be different.

That's why I loved the idea of the Wii as a whole: you absolutely had to move while playing it, and it didn't feel forced.
I actually really loved the wii for that, and so do retirement homes apparently

It's honestly a dopamine rush to the highest degree to get winded but also get that fill of all the colors and rising points, I don't know I've never played it.

Beat Saber makes me move my fat ass a lot. And it's fully owned by Facebook. So they're OK with the torrent version, they use bittorrent a lot to feed their LLM.

I absolutely love light-gun games. I was spoiled for choice on them at my local childhood arcades and I found every single excuse I could to go there and play.
I was the kind of kid that would pay twice to go double gun mode

Some of those games were incredibly forced when it came to Wii controls though. Sonic being the biggest example, the only one without wonky controls was Colors.

Love Beat Saber. Played it for three or four years, but it started messing up my shoulders, so I had to give it a rest. Awesome game.

Honestly, anything with a peripheral that connects in-game actions to real world actions is a winner in my book. My brothers and I went crazy on Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for the Wii. The motion controllers were shoddy as heck, but there was something so exciting about actually having to do the motions for a kamahameha that took the entire experience to something beyond just being a game.

I played my share of DDR and took it to a point where I did Endurance Mode for a good 2 hours on the weekend. I did fairly well on Beginner and Light, it did help me strengthen my left side, lost a good amount of weight and surprisingly careful while in the living room where there was a LOT of crystal plates. Another bit of games I actually played before were the following: Hokuto no Ken: PunchMania, Lupin III: The Shooting, Sonic Blast Man: Real Puncher, Lucky & Wild and Ghost Squad. Probably next year when I feel like going to AX, I might spend my time in the arcade for a few hours. It's something about spot checking your hand/eye coordination that keeps your senses sharp.

the legend of zelda skyward sword was a pain in the ass that i couldn't sit its was a good game tho

Try VR Gaming cant sit still, you can sit but head and hand/arms must move.
The misception is that VR need standing/walking around is bogus, you can actually laying if the VR game doesnt requre extented motions.

Shadow the hedgehog. Every time I replay that first level, I have inexplicable urge to stand up and say “the promised time, huh? Well then, time to go fulfill this promise”.

There's a mobile game called Bounden, where two people hold the same phone and dance. It was produced with assistance from... I want to say the Dutch National Ballet, maybe? At any rate, it's a really neat things and has been a decent icebreaker at times with people too.

Yes that's the issue with most VR rythm games. The high difficulties tend to make you do weird moves that could be painful in the long run. For beat saber I've started to use my wrists more than my shoulder, and there's still a whole Expert+ difficulty I didn't even touched yet, despite having played the game for more than two years now.

I also love BoxVR, Pistol Whip, Synthrinder and Ragnarock. Also got to try Hellsinger VR next.

Playing these games. You need to go outside and utilize the Solar Sensor to power you gun.
