Harry Mason was a special man, 3 REALLY expanded on his charcater and Im glad. You learn so much about him indirectly during the course of the game.
The kid he raised and fought for was no more. Instead he was to accept this new thing was her all along, can you imagine having to comprehend that?
I love how he admits to having struggled with this, that at one point he even contemplated killing her in her sleep. But then even now that he was aging he decided he was gonna accept this new child as her own and did everything again and without his wife. He protected her too by killing that cultist, concealed her identity moved house did everything to give her a happy life.

And after literally going through hell and back and killing god for her he dies ambushed by a monster

But in the end he still saved her and gave her a life by giving her that pendant, now that shes no longer the moder of got the order will never bother her again

Harry is the best video game dad of all time. Period.

So many games try so hard to make you connect with the dad character beat you over the head with it blow so much money and the most un-game esque hollywood stuff to make you think the game is deep; SH3 does it all indirectly and it will hit so much harder if you played 1 first because now you know what was going through his head when you were playing as him

I miss characters only talking during cutscenes dearly

One unexpected game that caused me to shed tear, was DecapAttack!

Chunk, an artificial creature made by the Doctor, was set on a journey to venture into all sorts of hell and destroy the king of demons, saving everyone in the world, while really not knowing what he was doing at all...
He was also retrieving relics stolen by boss enemies, which were like parts of a human skeleton!

It was like, he was doing all of these for others, not benefiting himself anything at all, going as far as literally sacrificing his life for the sake of his parent figure Doctor...

Oh, the ending...

Spoiler: Ending

...suddenly everything gained a new meaning! The Doctor's ulterior motives, which he never told about, finally revealed! to having a son which he never had.
And the reward of Chunk's deeds was surprisingly in itself!
The story was simple, even the execution was simple, yet it was done so well!
One of best and most satisfying endings that i have ever seen in any game!

If you post ANY plot spoilers, whether text or images, they should be contained within spoiler tags.

I don't want to take action against individuals for this kind of thing if I can help it, but if you post any form of major spoiler publicly then you better know that you are annoying people - to put it mildly.
