Has in, games that are damn good but for whatever reason you don't recomend or people should avoid for whatever reason:

And I have plenty! All the Monster Hunters! They are too good! I have been addicted to them for years and can only play them and keep grinding until for some miracle I didn't bought Iceborn DLC for World. The problem is not the grinding, is that it makes you wanting to grind and keep getting more armors, weapons and whatever RNGeesus equipment the game has. I see news about Wilds and I know I would like it but I am scared of becoming addict again. That's why I call them "MHeroine". ::apollo

Anyway, you guys have games that are good but can't recommend for whatever reason?

I'd probably say The Witness? I love it, but it seems like it's a toss-up whether someone's going to invest the time and end up going, "this game does a lot of cool stuff you wouldn't expect" or play for like an hour and go, "this is just a dumbass maze game, what the hell is wrong with you"

System shock remake, super fun game haven’t quite finished it. Great game but I can’t blame someone for not wanting to play a game with a notebook out

Any ArenaFPS nowadays that isn't Quake series.
Reflex, Diabotical, Warfork, Xonotic. All great excellent games for example, but 99% of people understandably won't want to hop into an online game populated by 30 toxic boomers that will play extremely better than you AND will try to kick you out of the room if you aren't acting on their desired behavior/skill level. I know there is a part of these communities that is good and they are constantly updated but they keep dead for a reason...

Dwarf Fortress is another one because you have to be kinda masochistic and like to lose and spend a ton of time reading and learning stuff. It kinda takes a while for you to get it's full potential as a game.

Also most visual novels and niche indie horror games that i enjoy that have excellent stories but are for sickos like me that like stuff full of gore and absurd traumatizing content

I love Shining Force but there's some battles that are very tedious. Take the bridge battle for example. Or the battle with the zombies as you slowly inch across a desert.

I'm a Dragon Quest fan and I enjoyed of what I played of Etrian 1 but Disgaea... I couldn't get it...
I hear opinions on the Disgaea games kinda depend. Some people say 4 is the best one, I've heard others say 3 is an underrated one, others seem to really like 5 and every one agrees Disgaea 6 is more like Disgaea...SHIT ba dum diss

Guys, MechWarrior 5. It’s slow, gritty, and you can feel the weight in every mech. Graphics are solid, the story’s kinda cliché, but man—it’s so satisfying to shoot and watch the physics kick in, even with the lasers.

Sakuna is a great action platformer and farm sim for those who aren't put off.

Horror Fishing game can be grindy it points and you can loose all your catch if you aren't careful, coupled with inventory tetris.

Legend of Legaia has fun combat and story. It can be at bit tedious and grindy sometimes.

That's how it is with older fighting games too.

MegaMan Legends (both of them) simply because the controls suck and the second one loses its focus and all rythm to the point where I originally quit it before returning.

SU-27: Flanker: Game is great, but awfully complex (it literally rivals flying an actual plane) and for whatever reason it starts on the map editor, so most people get confused and never even see the actual gameplay.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddisey: Tough-as-nails and really weird... But very fun, quirky and creative.

They could always remake both Legends 1 and 2 with proper 3D controls and have a lock on feature for aiming at certain targets like with boss fights.

when it comes to anime and games I prefer to recommend to people that I know well. I don´t mean know them as we are best buds. Rather if I talked with them for a while or been their friend for a while.

Reason is for me it´s simpler to recommend something when you know them on a deeper level. Talking with the same person for a while will teaches you more about them.

Which makes it simpler to recommend things.

Sadly I have a hard time making friends I just suck at it.

Given rule 6, I...probably can't actually say their names. But they're eroge, and more upsetting to people (since BG3 is eroge and people celebrate it being such), they're Japanese. I tend to reserve those recs to people I know who are into it.
Disgaea is great! Hope you enjoy grinding
Etrian Odyssey is great! Hope you enjoy grinding
Dragon Quest is great! Hope you enjoy grinding
Wizardry is great-
Just use Sap and (when you get it) Oomph for DQ. Unless you're playing DQ1 or 2, in which case have fun either grinding Or smashing your head against a wall until you succeed. Don't worry, you'll land Snooze against the Dragonlord this time.

I beat it for the first time maybe a year ago and... yeah... those were some of my least favorite battles in the game.
