I thought this would be a fun topic. I personally find it interesting when film directors are part of game development because it's an area out of their comfort zone. Games that come to mind for me is Takeshi's Challenge (Famicom) and Stranglehold (Xbox 360, PS3) by John Woo

Imagine if Christopher Nolan directed a game, I pretty sure he´ll make a masterpiece.

Kinji Fukasaku (known for Battle Royale) directed cutscenes for Clock Tower 3, which is one of the weirdest collabs you could think of, but it works. That game turned out to be a very good trip and I love it.

Boom Blox was made by Steven Spielberg, I remember it being surprisingly fun when I played it a a friend’s place back then.

Steven Spielberg and the developer team did a great job with the original Medal of honor

I think PT is the only thing I've played that had a director tied to it, other than that I'm unaware if I have. Lists I looked at, I haven't played any of those titles. I'm kind of surprised there isn't a game by Wes Anderson, given the number of quirky/cozy indies around that kind of have that vibe.

James Gunn worked with Suda51 on Lollipop Chainsaw, I believe a lot of the character and story development was in hands. Clive Barker's also put his name to a few video games with Clive Barker's Undying being the most well known, and he's also involved with the new Hellraiser game in development I believe.
