What are the games that always make your day and instantly boost your mood and let you forget about life a little bit? I will start :

Ape Escape ! (Or サルゲッチュ "Saru Getchu!" if you prefer the Japanese title) the vibe and music and just the entire simple premise of "catch the monkey" is so simple yet so F U N~ I really love the futuristic vibes the series going for with the otherworldly music or the hub world and how you get transmitted into the level via future sicenc-y bubbly tech and as kiddie as it sounds. I feel like I get an insane amount of joy when the characters contact you saying something along the lines of "Yo we got a new gacha toy for you to play with!" even when I can guess what they do from their name alone I still listen to their explanation joyfully describing it as it's just ahhh this series is just so joyful to play!

Fun fact! the monkeys in the Japanese version are called ピポサル "PiPo Saru" where Saru means monkey and PiPo is the onomatopoeia word for the siren sounds so they are literally called Wee woo Monkeys get it? because they wear a big red siren over their heads!

The Katamari series is another series that is just pure fun and forget about the real world for a bit kinda game. I don't really have a specific thing to say other than seeing numbers go up makes me happy and the sound effect for collecting items is so satisfying couple that with the weird and unique music this game has. It easily became my go-to game whenever I want to enter flow state ; O K MR. SUNSHINE!

It is really weird that despite that I never grew up with these games yet they still fill me with this indescribable feel of nostalgia of a time I never experienced.

I remember I laughed and smiled with titles from "Neptunia" series.
I really love the Neptunia series! it's one the very few games where I prefer the English dub over the Japanese dub because they are overly squeaky and moe I can't really distinguish between the characters cuz they all sound so similiar and I know it's a crime for not liking moe but there is something with the nep nep series that makes the english dub feel way better I would argue that Nep Nep herself sounds like a completely different character with the way she deliver the lines
