My home country doesn't have any games to be honest, a few indie games are available on Itch.io like, Key to happiness, The Curse Of Zigoris and a few more on Steam as well.

Indie game developer are trying their best to showcase their skills in the gaming industry, but they don't get any "support" in their work. Pakistan has many great professional players in games like Tekken, PUBG, but not enough games are made here.

Three exemples : one from the 80's (Captain Blood/L'Arche du Captain Blood), one from the 90's (Flashback) and...one from 2025 (Clair-Obscur) ::winkfelix

Doom

A bunch of games have come out of the States, but Doom is the most important one for me.
I agree. Among the MANY important games coming from the US , I think DooM is both the most pivotal and the most US American in its DNA. Only you guys could have produced this.

DmC: Devil May Cry. No, not DMC. It's DmC! That one! It was developed by Ninja Theory, a british team. So here in England, we brought Donte and Vorgil to life...

Ninja Theory has since been swallowed by Microsoft and now makes games for Xbox... At least that's what Google says. Can't really be sure since no one bought a new Xbox. How the mighty have fallen.

This are the ones that pop up in my head without thinking too much
Blasphemous 1 and 2
Gris
Neva
Technically Metroid dread

Spain is making some nice indie games as of late.

The thing is that most games published outside of the US are not based on local or representation of any kind, they are just like any other games, mind you some have tried but to very mixed results.

I will not speak for other countries but Mexico,

First and foremost there is this very big cultural distinction from north Mexico and south Mexico;

The north of Mexico is like Texas: very autonomous, lots of arid lands and very US minded, from Zacatecas which is a state and below the country becomes more green, humid and their people are very diverse culturally and socially speaking, This is where all Mayan and other indigenous cultures had roots, but not the north, albeit some indigenous cultures like the Tarahumaran's.

SO....

1) There is not even a comprehensive list of titles to be easily found on the web on Mexican developed games.

2) Most developed games are not inspired or take place on Mexico or are influenced by traditions. (although there is some outliers)

3) Some international releases have been more centered on having Mexican representation, but alas, the representation is very skewed onto the southern cultures of Mexican states.

Here are some examples.

Cyberpunk 2077
Frostpunk, Frostpunk 2
Ghostrunner, Ghostrunner 2
House Flipper, House Flipper 2
Blair Witch
Bulletstorm
Call of Juarez series
Chernobylite, Chernobylite 2
Dying Light, Dying Light 2 Stay Human
Dead Island, Dead Island Riptide
Gears of War: Judgment
Observer
Kholat
RoboCop: Rogue City
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
This War of Mine
Sniper: Ghost Warrior series
Layers of Fear, Layers of Fear 2
The Medium
Silent Hill 2 Remake
Car Mechanic Simulator series
911 Operator
Green Hell
Lords of the Fallen (2014 as co-developer)
Shadow Warrior trilogy
Superhot
The Thaumaturge
Timberborn
Uboat

Danish Playdead made Limbo and Inside, and a developer from Playdead went his own way and made Cocoon.

IOI made the Hitman series, Deadline Games made Total Overdose, and Bedtime Digital Games made Figment 1 & 2.

None of these really tap into Danish culture, but they are big international hits.

More locally we have the Danish childrens icons "Magnus & Myggen" aka Skipper & Skeeto, as well as the edutainment series Pixeline who also has a sister called Silke. Oh, and one can't forget the 90s SMASH hit that was Skærmtrolden Hugo aka Hugo the Screentroll.

Behold, our glorious Wonder Boy reskins:

And our own infamous console, Zeebo:

It did came with a hidden gem though, which is an exclusive entry of Double Dragon. All of those years later, it seems you can finally emulate it:
