Have you ever had a favorite game that isn't really well known, but has a banger soundtrack?
A soundtrack so good that it's more well known than the actual game it comes from?
Have you ever tried showing people the soundtracks of the game, only for them to go "Ohhhh, so that's where it's from?!"
I recently had this experience with a friend where I showed them "The Concept of Love" from Jet Set Radio Future, only for them to recognize it and say
"I didn't even know it was from this game!"

I'm curious if others have also experienced this, and if not, what video game osts do you think are more popular than the actual game(s) it comes from?

touhou song, it like being a culture, especially this one and was a banger too
Ah yes, how could I forget Touhou? It's practically the poster child when it comes to these things.

Now that I think about, there are plenty of other touhou songs/ songs created by touhou fans that are more popular than the games themselves.

Knew several Power Ranger's kids growing up, but was never one myself. Never heard of the beat em up for the SNES until a few years ago, and it might have some of the best music on the system.

There is another

BTW the mother series is way too over-hyped for how mid it is.

Coming back to post in the same thread about Chicken Invaders because genuinely who played Chicken Invaders. More importantly, why is the theme so good?

I feel that people remember LucasArts' "Outlaws" far more for its incredible score than its gameplay.
