I know that Ristar Gamegear had a patch to make it work on the Master System but I'm wondering if there were Japanese/Brazilian exclusive ports to the 8-bits home console as well as hacks because I find the screen crunch sometimes hard to stand.

Sonic the Hedgehog (Game Gear version ported to Master System in Brazil by TecToy)
Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (Brazilian Master System version based on Game Gear)
Mortal Kombat 3 (Brazil-exclusive Master System version, heavily based on Game Gear)
Earthworm Jim (Brazil-only Master System release, derived from Game Gear)
Street Fighter II (infamous TecToy Master System version, built off Game Gear assets)

Sonic Blast also got a Master System port by TecToy.

Another one is Virtua Fighter: The Animation. The 8-bit VF game got a Brazilian Master System port, making it one of the very few fighting games for the system.

Didnt both versions release at once AND by Sega themselves?
That’s what I thought too, yeah. The Master System was still alive in all regions when it came out. Sonic 1 even came out in the U.S. on the Master System, being the final game in the region for the console.

Some are okay, but the degradation of colors only makes it worth it in text heavy games cause is easier to read stuff in a TV Screen.

As a general rule the Game Gear version tends to be better.

Actually that makes no sense the first Sonic game actually did have an actual non TecToy Master System version, Why would they make a second port?

But didnt Sonic 2 and Sonic chaos also release on the Master system and by Sega itself aswell?

The last Sonic one by Sega themselves was Mean Bean Machine, at least in the USA. Of course it was basically harder Puyo Puyo.
