Game franchises that you don't intend to touch/give a chance regardless of how good people say they are?

The title speaks for itself, Mine are:
Yakuza Series
Elder Scrolls Series
I dislike these series myself too, yet I only like Yakuza Like a Dragon for its sense of humor and Elder Scrolls Oblivion for its very high quality side quests that each is like a "main story potential" on its own which one of them directly was stolen as it's by CDPR and sold as Witcher 3 big side quest DLC lol.

To answer the thread:

Most of the new Call of Duty and Final Fantasy games. Since COD 3 and since FF6 couldn't like these series at all. I would add GTA series too that I only liked GTA SA and rest is a trash TBH. Back then open world was "wow" but the BS missions was the "hell no" aspect of the series, at least GTA SA is like 100 games in 1 lol.

I ignored most of the games from DOOM, Quake and Duke Nukem which I dislike most of "pointless action games" like Gears of War, Halo and Dead Space series... whatever Americans love to play to sate their pew pew gun action lol. However I liked sense of humor in Wolfenstein: The New Order but the game itself is not good enough to like it for me.

Among really popular games I ignored most of Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony games. Uncharted and Last of Us don't interest me at all. There are some Sony games I know they exist but I don't remember their names, I ignore them too like Crash Bandicoot or whatever it's called. For example I was never interested in Street Fighter games yet they keep spamming tons of games of it without anything interesting whatsoever. I kinda only like Mortal Kombat 3 and 11 as fighting games anyway. I also never cared about Monster Hunter series. Mindless killing with generic bad gameplay still never fixed properly is not my thing.

Among really loved series I will never play Spyro and Kingdom Hearts.

There are tons of games new generation kids love to play that I will never play these: Minecraft, Roblox, Overwatch, Fortnite, Valorant, Apex Legends, the new Rainbow Six, et cetera.

I will never play MOBA, Battle Royal, Looter-Shooter and "Souls genre" games.

I will never play MMO games because they tend to suck hard, even World of Warcraft. I did play some MMO games and they really ain't my thing but only MMO I really played a lot was Dragon Quest X for its Superstar class and once you played an MMO game others are same shit anyway therefore I had all the fun an MMO can offer me already lol.

I avoid Gacha games so I will never play lots of them I don't even remember their name like Genshit Impact. Though just because I love Persona series I tried Persona 5 The Phantom X and as F2P aspect it was fun until gacha BS kicked in lol.

I have some series I don't play anymore like Assassin's Creed since Syndicate, Far Cry since the 3rd. Resident Evil since the 3rd. Diablo since 2nd. Battlefield since Bad Company 2. Gran Turismo since 2nd.

There are some JRPGs that people hate me for disliking them but I really have no interest in the Trails series and Xenoblade series, however I really like Xenoblade Chronicles X a lot.

I guess this over all covers my preference in a nutshell lol.

Helldivers 2 at the moment for me, don't care what my friends say how good it is and keep constantly playing together, I have no interest in playing it ever, also all Souls-Like games, even FromSoft. period.

Edit: oh and Yakuza too definitely

I'll try anything at least once, just to see what it's about. But the barrier nowadays is that I don't buy as much. If I can borrow a copy or something, then I'll give a series a shot. I might not feel super motivated about it, but I'll try it.

Red Dead Redemption 2, despite everyone praising it, I played it for 2 hours and got bored; too much stuff to do is not always good. So i played it but i never intend to again...
The Dark Souls series—I would never play any of them, except with the become boss mod that is present in Dark Souls 3. Now that is a fun game to play; otherwise, I would never touch it.
Yakuza, the whole Japanese mafia thing, never interested me one bit.
Bayonetta: Now, I never played this one and never intend to; I'd rather play Devil May Cry than some rip-off with some hot chick.

Hero shooters just do not register to me. And I guess most MP-only games by proxy. I grew up on games being meant to be forever revisited. Seeing my uncles and older siblings back in the NES and early genesis days made a light-bulb go inside, and I was initially more attracted to games with a learning curve like contra, castlevania, ninja gaiden and by extension most arcade classics like metal slug.

-Dark Souls
-Kingdom Hearts
-Resident Evil
-Dragon Quest
-MGS
-Trails
-Yakuza
-Monster Hunter
-Ninja Gaiden
-BOTW style Zeldas
-Shmups, Soulslikes and Roguelites in general

being honest very often I am more interested in playing some unknown and forgotten weird game than whatever indisputable classic every gamer TM should be playing

I don't know why I feel compelled to say this to you especially, but I truly do believe you'd really enjoy many of the games you've listed.

But I get what you mean about preferring to play more niche titles.

It's more like I don't think these franchises are necessarily all bad or something, but I also don't think they are necessarily better than the hundreds of other less known games that are on my backlog and that look personally more interesting to me. And since its humanly impossible to play all games, we have to make choices and the more niche titles somehow come naturally to me

Why are you answering with another question also indies is quite a large subject and tackles many genres.
no it doesn't show a list and there's nothing wrong about giving questions as answers...

Idk, didn't really like the newest film but I thought Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade were pretty solid.
as long as lost ark and last crusade isn't indie im good.
