Do you have any personal game you gravitate towards in certain occasions?

Everytime I mourn a dead family member, I feel compeled to play some version of Tekken 5 for some reason.

When saying goodbye to someone in the airport, knowing I wouldn't see them for a long time, I feel like playing any of the Darkstalker games.

When I'm really down I just want to sink myself in an endless survival mode of sorts, fighting, action or beat'em ups usually do it for me, in rare times I go with racing games coupled with lots and lots of cigarettes.

I always gravitate towards Pokémon games and Animal Crossing this specific time of year, when everything starts to thaw and nature wakes up.

I don't have one of this right now, i'm trying to focus only in the games i want to beat.
But i did had Shaman King (PS1) as game for an occasion long time ago, and probably others in other moments that i don't really remember.

I feel a compulsion to play a ps1 jrpg during summertime (ff9, chrono cross, xenogears, etc... so squaresoft jrpgs).
In the months just before christmas I like to play a late 90s or early 2000s visual novel like demonbane.
Been meaning to play parasite eve around christmas, but I haven't read the book yet, so I keep putting that off ::sailor-embarrassed

I could be wrong here, but PE1 is more of a loose continuation of the movie than the book.
I haven't read or watched either of them mind you, but I've read on forums that there are plot descrepancies between the book and the movie and game, while the game and movie complement each other, the book not so much.

I play GTA (mostly the VC ones) when I need some mindless fun.

I play RPGs when I need something a little heavier.

I play Minecraft when I'm feeling creative.

I play Stardew Valley when I need to relax.

The book isn't bad, though the film adaptation is awful. The game is a sequel in the loosest sense of featuring mitochondria and Eve.

I don't have any specific occasions to tie it to but I do play DMC3,4 and 5, Ace Combat games, Symphony of the Night, SplitSecond and any good Shmup at times whenever it strikes me.

I have different games for different moments, but I think the most frequent one is just riding a motorcycle aimlessly in GTA SA while listening to my own playlist.

I usually play a Metal Gear Solid title around October time...In January I get the urge to play a completely new title, and for some reason on Christmas day I have a habit of playing DOOM wads.

I have a custom called "Saturday of Resumes", basically in Saturday night, with all the daily chores done, i pick some Resume or Review videos to listen in the background, pick a long game and play while i listen to the video marathon with some snack, be ramen, a tube of chips/crisps or popcorn, way to begin a free weekend
