Grace - Wolfenstein new colossus

Just annoying and nagging, but mostly its the fact that BJ just takes all the crap she gives him at the beginning with 0 pushback. When in new order there was a similar characer with J, who similarly insulted him; and he actually got mad at him because he takes great pride in his past as a ww2 soldier. Then they both admit they were being knuckleheads and end up respecting one another, I liked that much better than bj just sitting on the couch and getting lectured

Sidenote: I hate the faces in new colossus, new order (and especially old blood) looked much better

I miss when he was a pissed off teenager who would begrugingly do sidequests and get jealous of clank. And he had big eyes, big grin and weird hands, in general all the aliens were ugly, the series was really crass...
Now he's like a cute egghead, and the world feels way more like pixar..
Ah well, it was fun while it lasted

When you mentioned DMC, I thought just disliking a character wouldn't make sense to me, I really need a good reason so I remember I really hated V in DMC 5. The most waste of existence character in the whole history of fiction lol.

I thought DMC 5 would be so much fun for it seemed so much fun just because of Dante, then you can't even play as Dante most of the game lol. IDK what they thought to force BS characters you should play as instead of Dante. You are forced to play as many characters and man, forced to play as V, that annoying guy, the weak slow emo guy killed me.

I hate this man with a passion, he’s so obsessed with Grove Street pride that he ends up holding CJ back at every turn. While CJ is out there building empires—running businesses, making real power moves—Sweet just wants to spray tags and fight over a few blocks of turf that nobody else even cares about. He acts like loyalty means throwing your life away for the neighborhood, even if that neighborhood never does anything for you. He constantly guilt-trips CJ, ignores the bigger picture, and refuses to accept that maybe—just maybe—his narrow view of “the hood” is part of the problem. Instead of evolving, he digs his heels in and drags everyone else down with him.

that's supposed to be part of the story. when pandora's box was opened, the evil stuff went to the gods and kratos got the good stuff. or hope, since that was the only positive thing in the box.
i think that they did that to go along with the plot point of everyone related to kratos ends up dying, in one way or another. everyone related to him dies at his hands. ares, athena, zues, posidon, his brother, his wife and daughter and several more all fit into that category.
zues was consumed with fear so that kratos wouldn't be overpowered from the start of god of war 2. it would be too easy of a game if you get to play from the start with god levels of power.

When whole society out to get you, not giving you job, not giving you education, they don't even allow you into public bus as you are as a person among the banned items list like a gun, a dog, et cetera in public places, what you only have is the dumpster they enforce you to stuck in. You did not have many choice, because of it land fight in Los Angeles was beyond a sense of "marking territory", it was "only the strongest can have what little there is to have there" thingy. Racism back then was so beyond human comprehension, beyond the ancient slave - owner dynamic, it's even hard to tell. They especially sold drugs to blacks so they would waste their life just so they couldn't "dominate white population". Government allowed it for same goal and for money too. They sold them guns to make money and reduce their population. They also thought it was good way to train cops, give them a sense of they do something, then increase house prices in certain places where black population is none so they can make money from taxes too. The whole situation is too complex to even begin with. Imagine increasing crime rates just to have a sense of "cops do something" and they reduce the crime rate they raise just to seem "we are successful" is some American BS, man.

So I'll American wrestle with anyone who think Sweet wasn't sweet guy lol. Dude he tried to give purpose to his homies beyond wasting their life, being killed and stop existing. He stayed at his home to protect his homies. Your home is where your homies is, man, hence "homies" lol. Excuse Sweet for not being a smart man who left his family or he couldn't come up with better things. It was the way he preferred to live his life so excuse Sweet for living his life in the way he wanna live likes it's your life dude chill lol.

So they weren't "Grove Street" for fun, they were Grove Street because they were born into.

Then how CJ is different? He is a fool who was lucky. For plot device he wasn't killed lol.

The whole game in and of itself was dull and boring, had a one-trick pony type of mechanic that was done years ago and much better with Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.

But that's not the problem.
The cast is an abhorrent, whiny teen drama that fell in to the trap of overused tropes and melodrama as a video game. Yes, people have problems like these in real life, but I don't want to play a video game about silly teen problems, and the writing was nothing to, if you will pardon the pun "Write home about" either.

I did try to like the characters, but after around 45 minutes with the characters, I was ready to walk out into the July sun and embrace final death

There can never be too much Mia hate. I cheered when she "met Chris Redfield" at the start of Village. Tragic that wasn't a permanent "meeting".

Her whole, "Can we just stop talking about that time I lied to you for years and unwittingly released a mutant fungus bent on contaminating all mankind, endangering you and several innocents in the process. Oh, and I'll never apologize for any of it either" attitude made me hate her even more.

I can only imagine every new generation kid in America is like this, perhaps worse, because clearly they tried to use stereotypes and try to make it seem likeable. They also targeted a very specific type of a person to ensure sells. Then I kept hearing people buying this game because "it's about us, for our awareness" but actually not playing the game lol.

However what the game offers, especially the last episode, was really cool. I did enjoy it a lot. It was worth to experience that phoetic stuff. It was worth to endure all the cringe characters lol. However I'm sucker for anything about time manipulation so I'm very biased lol.

that would be a better motivation, but the dev team seemed like they wanted to stay somewhat accurate to the actual mythology of the greek gods, and the greeks made their gods much more human like and prone to the same faults as us. i don't know why, but that's what they did.

Like you, I am a sucker for it in video games.

I had also hoped the story would be decent at best, and so bad it's funny at worst.
But it's just awful, even the time mechanic isn't that great.

It was interesting the first few times, but what really killed me was the fact that they more or less made it seem like you had a choice in the game, when in fact, aside from a few events, you were on their set path.

I know they can't script or write 300 scenarios for every action, space limitations alone ensure that.
But again, it just wasn't good. I also agree it was made for the, when it came out, 18-20 somethings.
I was far out of that demographic.

Also, the music was horrible, but that could be due to the age difference between the target audience and myself, as you said.

Jesus Christ ! Now i remember playing this game with a friend for a couple weekends and we hated everyone in this game . That Rabbit-hole was torture and every Cringe-moment was more and more painful . These characters are so disgusting and horribly written , you will end up being misanthropic for a few days . And i thought the new characters of the last 3 star wars movies unlikable but this game surely changed my mind .

- Admiral Holdo / Rey "Skywalker" / Kylo Ren
Holdo was such a timewasting species of the most useless kind . The plan was absolutely idiotic and the scenes of the SLOOOOOW moving and huge Space-ship just grinded my nerves so much , i needed a break from this movie . And her superiority complex in smug-form was unbearable .

Rey "Skywalker" on the other hand was ... there . Overpowered Mary-sue that lacked anything to like her but somehow lacked anything to hate her too . The story tries to make her likable and stuff but it was just a written dead emotion packed into a character . Yeah ... nothing more.

Kylo Ren is the best doofus i ever saw in a movie . The reactions , the shots , the absolute baffling edgy teen sith i ever saw and i actually like this character in its comedic idiocy . But for Star wars he was still a bad character that ruined Star wars image . From " MOAR !! " to the huge space syringe while kylo stand besides it as if he wanna show Rey how his Love-syringe looks like . Its a shame Adam Driver must live with the filthy role of Kylo Ren because he is still a great actor and comes to me as a second Keanu Reeves . Give Adam Driver a great role where he fits perfectly and let him be a great actor . He already looks like the perfect Serverus Snape already .
