With there being an out-of-season cold front in the U.S right now, it's been getting me in the mood to play more Dreamcast. I caught on to this feeling and it made me wonder, "What consoles do I associate with each season?" I'm fully aware this is something that nobody has thought of or really cares about, but we're rolling with it.

Winter - Dreamcast: I can't explain it, but something about the cold just puts me in a mood to whip out the ol' Dreamcast and get some Sonic Adventure or House of The Dead II going. It has a very 'Christmas day 1999' vibe to it that other consoles lack. (Except for the N64)
Spring - GameCube: I'm not really sure why, but there's just something about the GCN that makes me think of spring time. Maybe it's because of Super Mario Sunshine and Pikmin 1/2, there is that whole phrase "April showers bring May flowers" so maybe it's just meant to be.
Summer - PlayStation 1/2: Hands down for me, one of the most summer-coded consoles to have graced gaming. I have so many memories of playing outside until it became unbearably hot, and then retreating indoors to whoop my friends' asses at Marvel Nemesis or War of the Monsters.
Fall - PSP: I personally have a habit of traveling in the fall, so handhelds have always been a HUGE draw for me around that time of year. There's also a lot of great PSP horror titles for the Halloween season.

Winter: Atari Jaguar
Spring: Virtual Boy
Summer: CD-i
Fall: Sega Saturn

(every season but Fall sucks for a different reason. It’s either get easy frostbite even with 10 layers on, get a really bad hay fever streak, or sweating so much that I need a different shirt every hour. I’d rather have the school season atp)

A rather interesting thread idea! Here are my thoughts:

Winter: N64 - Majora's Mask is a game that feels both isolating and depressing, which I associate with the Winter.

Spring: PS2 - I often play JRPGs when it's raining outside, and the PS2 (with BC PS1 games) are the definitive JRPG machines.

Summer: GameCube - I associate Mario Sunshine with Summer vacation. The party games on GC also remind me heavily of the season.

Fall: DS - I also travel frequently in the fall, and have fond memories of playing the DS on road trips as a kid. Mainline Pokémon as well as the side games were often played on these long trips. This can also include the GBA and 3DS as well.

Hmm based on my habits it's PC season year round but...

Winter - PS4 (Sometimes I like to try to go back to current gen games)
Fall - PS2 and GBA (Nostalgia time)
Summer - Steamdeck and Switch (On the move and need a handheld if not a book in my hand)
Spring - PS1 and Wii (Rpg streak)

In all fairness most of them are emulated on the deck if I'm not trying to complete my steam deck library then fail by adding more to it.

Winter: TurboDuo
Spring: 3DO Interactive Multiplayer
Summer: Sega Saturn
Autumn: PlayStation

With the occasional runner-ups Genesis, Nintendo Entertainment System, Dreamcast, and PlayStation 2.

I love these picks! I have a ton of great memories with the DS/GBA as well

Love it, I actually got started emulating PS2 and GBA games that I was either too broke to afford or that my parents refused to buy for me when I was a kid.
