Another game which pays homage and parodies retro games such as Castlevania, Cotton, Mega Man, and Bonk's Adventure, the soundtrack slaps. This was later ported to the Mega Drive and Sega Dreamcast.

Hi there. I'm the head of this project. Just thought I'd clear some things up for you. the core staff that worked on Valis III consists of 49 people. Our game, FX Unit Yuki, consists of 4 people. Our game had a dev cycle of 2 years. With me being the only character artist and main pixel artist on the project, it just wasn't possible to create the cutscenes you are talking about because normally many people work on these over a period of a year or two, and not just one person. This game was made over 8 years ago and was our first project. I do apologize it doesn't live up to your standards to pirate our game 😅
Thank you for making such a fun and enjoyable game.

Hi and welcome to the scene, I'd like to thank you for a fun game, I had fun beating it twice (PC Engine and Mega Drive) and the soundtrack was quite catchy, it even translated well for the MD, special thanks to the MD composer.

I hope no hard feelings for sharing here, it's been seven years on retro systems which are no longer supported, my main goal is to bring awareness to an overlooked game.

Valis had beautiful graphics/anime scenes and used the potential of those systems to make the games look as nice as they could be for that time.

This game had the potential to do the same and look like one of the best 16bit games possible. It sadly doesn't do that and just looks extremely budget made when it shouldn't do.

This could have been so much more than what it ended up being

I assume this and the Dreamcast version are pretty similar, right?
All three versions are the same exact game, I'm yet to play this version all the way but I played both the PC Engine and Mega Drive versions all the way, very minor changes, I already explained in details in the other comment but you get the idea, play any version you prefer they are more or less identical.

It's alright, you don't have to force yourself to like the game, it's not like this is a hidden gem but I thought it was good, I enjoyed playing it earlier today, it reminded me of the Valis series but every person has a different opinion.

I really wanted to like this game but in all honesty it's just utterly dreadful.
Sadly theres more effort put into crappy google play store trash than this game.

The Anime scenes are nicely done (Even if cheap) and some of the jokes are ok. It's just everything else is terrible. It's like a Master System game that nobody remembers

More than being a parody of several famous games of that time, it also feels like a tribute to those classics throughout the journey that the protagonist of the game will have to venture.
