Nothing lightens a heart more than a villian, be a mere meanie of the chapter or the driving plot villian, but sometimes, the writers go overboard and has zero chill delivering justice making us wonder if this cartoon was for kids, which is the case you know?

While i used the Cartoon Prefix, Animated films count

Ian Peek from Batman Beyond (Chapter: Sneek peek), a minor villian with a belt that lets him become intangible, your usual underdog villian, a reporter that uses his newfound power to try to find who Batman is, even commiting murder in his search, his ending comes when the belt overloads and he starts to become too intangible, going all the way down with Terry unable to stop his fall, even when he is able to momentally stop himself, it barely lasts and he falls though the floor, all while LAUGHING, not an evil laugh, but a laugh that screams "I have lost everything", even Bruce can only theorize on what will happen to him

This was a saturday morning cartoon, based on a comic

I can name a lot that gave me nightmares as a kid but I'm going to stand by this statement: Beni from The Mummy did not deserve to be eaten alive by bugs. He was a funny ha-ha henchmen and was just as scared of Imhotep as everyone else. He wasn't like the Nazis in Indiana Jones or the corrupt scientists in Akira. He didn't have to die in the most horrible way possible just as the lights were going out, which meant even if he survived he would have starved to death with no idea where he was going. At least make him some kinda weird phantom that has to serve Imhotep forever.

Also, Batman Beyond has a lot of messed up deaths but I have to go with the Fantastic Four knockoff each dying in their own way (not that they weren't going to die anyway because their molecules were literally falling apart). For near death, it has to go for the dude who helped Inque wanting to be like her and that *melting* into some messed up half human shape.

Spoilers for various forms of My Little Pony media. It's primarily a franchise where villains are redeemed and made friends with. Ya know, except for:

Tirac (1984): Obliterated by the Rainbow of Light

The Smooze (1986): Dropped into a volcano by the Flutter Ponies

Nightmare Moon (2010): Counted as something more like the Venom symbiote, and was likely destroyed in the show by the Elements of Harmony while inhabiting its host. Although, the comics establish that it still lives.

The Storm King (2017): Turned into stone and shattered to pieces

This wasn't a fever dream, or as i though, a nightmare

Help, i am a fish! is surprisingly tense and serious for a kids movie, bit the death of the main villian stands the most, basically he becomes evil by drinking a serum that turns any animal into human, the heroes need to find it since it is the antidote for they drinking a oposite serum, one of our heroes tricks him into drinking some of it so he can evolve into a human... while underwater, you can guess what happened next, doesn't help that the bad fish looks less human and more like a mutant as he evolves

Doesn't count as a death, since it's a kids show, but while in a insomnia-fueled Youtube bing i saw someone traumatized by a cartoon about a Flamingo cosplayer, and the scene that shocked him... well, he was right, they MOTHERFUCKING JUNJI ITO A KID ONSCREEN

It's a short scene from the finale of Gravity Falls, but doesn't really spoil that much. Just to be safe, ya know? ::cirnoshrug

Dr. Destiny going braindead in the 2005 Justice League show was pretty screwed up. But at least in the DCAU he won't be going to a 24 hour diner with a mysterious gem...
