Now I'm tempted to look up if the Metal Gear Online that came with MGS3 is still a thing. I only ever played the online mode of MGS5 for about a week before I forgot about it.MetalGearOnline 2, the one that came with MGS4. It's still playable (on both PC and PS3) and the community at SaveMGO have also added new items and updates.
I only heard of the "game" when Slopes Game Room covered all of the controversies/scandals from it. Was more of a social platform/pixelated chat room. Apparently with how big it got I'm surprised I never heard of it before until I saw that youtube video.I learned that there was a game called Habbo Hotel that seems to still have players, though I just heard of the game yesterday.
That somewhat makes me want to boot up my ps3 and find a match, even though more than likely I would get wrecked with how out of practice I am and was only ever decent when I played it in the first place. I still remember when someone rage messaged me after I beat them as Yang that all I did was kick and nothing else :Pone that really surprised me was Street Fighter 3 Online Edition on ps3, i can still regularly find people to fight... when i bother to sign in to my psn account. it is a really good version of the game, so i guess it's not that surprising, but still.
The SaveMGO community also have worked on keeping the original MGO1 from MGS3 alive as well as the online for Peace Walker. Their discord has a lot of good info (that I wish were on the site). Now I'm tempted to look up if the Metal Gear Online that came with MGS3 is still a thing. Never thought I'd find anyone else who knew about this one! Played it as a kid a lot and used the arrow keys to aim because it was still the 90s.
