I don't necessarily mean the BEST game in your collection, but the one you are most attached to.

Mine is this beautiful bastard:

How did I wind up owning such a thing? The only way I could have: by wandering my local hobby shop in search of anyone to trade Yu-Gi-Oh cards with, not even realizing the place had gotten onboard the retro gaming bandwagon and had dedicated an entire wall to Famicom and MegaDrive games.

There were definitely much better options on the shelves, but this one felt special to me because my love for America's Pastime had just gotten kick-started by virtue of me watching the ALCS between the (then newly named) Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox, which was still ongoing at the time.

I took the game home, played it for a bit... and absolutely loved it — so much so, in fact, that it carried me through that year's World Series and for many seasons afterwards. I really did play the hell out of it.

And the funniest part was that the game had gotten me so pumped that I even began exchanging insults with my friend Miriam (herself a die-hard Phillies phanatic) whenever I got the chance.

I certainly own much better games than this weird launch title from 1984, but few mean as much to me as this one does.

physically owned:
- my copy of pape 64 (first game I've ever beaten in my life when I was around 9 or 10 y/o, it's also a token of my childhood and my memories of grandma - which was the one who introduced me to games)
- my copy of jungle trail, included on the njoypad (built in bootleg game, a version of lode runner for the nes and my first experience with a level editor, when I was around 11 or 12 y/o)
- my copy of neopets: the darkest faerie (only recently acquired and such a rare thrift store find where I live)

digitally owned:
- stardew valley
- cross code
- all the tcheco (macbee) games I was able to get legally
- all the behemoth games I was able to get legally
- a short hike
- anodyne

I've some sort of emotional backstory with most of the games mentioned and that's all about it. Some are good, some are pretty bad. None would be properly considered a masterpiece, but I don't give a damn fuck lol... It's all about love and stories behind the media.

I have a CIB copy of Toki Going Ape Spit on the megadrive. Toki imo is not a good game, but waaay back in the day there was an emulation site my friend and I used to visit daily "Arch Nacho & Tortilla Godzilla's Quality Roms" and the hosts would make frequent reference to this game, and eventually my friend and I would too. So it's not a good game, but when I go through my old stuff, and I find it there, I'm reminded of my younger days, hanging out with my best friend, on our lunch break at school.

That's what I'm talking about ♥️

Awesome!

Give it to me >:D

I own literally dozens upon dozens of video games that I've collected over the decades; many of which hold various levels of sentimental and/or financial value to me. But if I had to choose one, it would be my copy of 'Smart Ball' (SNES). It isn't worth very much, but it was my very first video game ever, and it has also somehow manage to elude being stolen in two different burglaries in my late-teens..

As part of a collection, it might just be the entire Digimon World series (From 1-4, including NeO and Re:Digitize, but not Data Squad and Card Battle). But I don't even really like Digimon World 2 or 3, so there's always my original copies of SNES games like Demon's Crest and E.V.O: The Search for Eden, those were quite a find. Any of my SRW discs from PlayAsia? Or maybe SRW:OG on GBA? There's also my copy of GBC Mario Tennis with the original box and manual, that's pretty special for a Gameboy Game...

Hrmm...tough calll...

Oh!
iu

How about my copy of Gotcha Force with original disc and manual! Not only do I like that game, that shit's worth up 1300 bucks on E-Bay! But that's not what I paid for it, heh heh heh....

My physical copy of Lost Kingdoms I & II on the Gamecube complete with their manuals alongside the Pikmin duology for the same system.
Those games are so very precious to me and I have deep emotional attachment and I'll never let them go.

I saw a likely pre-owned copy of Lost Kingdoms II at a local pre-owned store going for £50 which I likely would have bought had I not suffered from lack of funds at the time. I likely would have given it away to someone interested in the games.

My copy of Pikmin 2 and my Nintendo Wii.
The Wii being the only time my Dad bought me something that wasnt beer for himself. I still have it and works till this day. He bought it for me back in 2007 and I still have his Mii he made.
For Pikmin 2, It was the only game my mother bought me and we went pretty far to get it, back when Gamestop was fading out 6th gen games. The Gamestop around the area had one copy used and my mom bought it. Still have the receipt too!

Duuude! That's golden! I always wanted to get a copy of that game myself ^^
I hope you get one for an affordable price, the game is amazing and was very special to me as a 90s kid. Also a game I'd honestly love to see an indie game based off of.
Sweet! Your mousepad goes great with the CD as a complimentary background image!!!
Thank you, glad you think so.

The only thing I didn't like was the crane mini game. Otherwise, this one is easily one of the best offerings on the system.

A remake that polishes it up a little would sell like crazy.
