First-person perspective vs. third-person perspective: Which offers the player a better experience?

I can like first person games here and there, but I know for a fact third person games are my absolute favourite after Lost Planet 2.

Being able to see your character as you dress them up after earning enough ingame currency to do so. Emoting with your friends after doing silly antics from parkour and etc just made the perspective feel perfect.

I love first person perspective it makes you feel closer to the world and improves immersion
