Going to start it off with the the obvious, downright a beatemup - Zeno Clash.

It was the best, so naturally became a series that went so downhill that the latest one is not even in first person anymore, yay~

There's also Condemned: Criminal Origins and its sequel Condemned 2: Bloodshot. The original relies more on melee weapons, but Condemned 2 lets you mix it up with punches as well.

I remember that for some reason condemned 2 bloodshot had a more approach to melee combat with combos and it was very clunky.

I actually think the new Indiana Jones game could qualify for a mention in this thread.
The main form of combat is old-fashioned pugilism and it feels pretty good and there's much of it, in fact the entire game is actually way better than I had anticipated.

dev team Ancient (best known for Oasis series n I think Culdcept? and for havin sis/bro Ayano n Yuzo \m/) pitched a Streets of Rage/Bare Knuckle 4th installment far, far before DotEmu n all did SoR 4 in 2020... as a 1st-person brawler... yeaaaaa unfortunately that went over with increasingly-cautious Sega like a pitch for a rotary-dial cellphone

In this category of games I always found The Super Spy (SNK) quite funny, but I never finished it because it was boring in the long run. It's definitely worth playing at least once, though.

Breakdown on the OG Xbox. Don't listen to the reviews, this game is sick. Game has a good amount of shooting as well, so it's not a pure first person beat em' up.

They are definitely FMV games first. I just thought they were funny games to bring up since they kinda meet the criteria of FPS brawler if you stretch it enough.

I liked (the bouncer) PS2 by square enix one of the gems on PS2 that I think deserves a reboot/remaster hope this beat em up is something your looking for.
