I received as a gift, unexpectedly, after 7 years, a splendid Xbox 360 Eagle with a 500 GB internal HDD (and another of the same size that I previously used with my PS2) and Aurora/DashLaunch pre-installed inside, I just had to fill it with games that I already own and some emulators - although maybe it's better to keep them on my PC!
In just two weeks I managed to finish 5 games: DuckTales, CoD MW, CoD Black Ops, CoD 3 and FarCry 4 in 15 minutes (lol).

The next games are King Kong, Dragon's Lair and Conker Live and Reloaded. Hoping at least not to take too long, I hated Black Ops for a gameplay that was frustrating to say the least.
Any games to recommend?

Considering you played CoD then Gears of War and Halo should be right up your alley.

Dead or Alive 4 if you're into fighting games.

Lost Odyssey for a JRPG.

Ah Xbox 360, what an era
So many great games can be listed here but here's a few
-Bioshock series
-Elder Scrolls series
-GTA series
-Portal series
-Mass Effect series
-Halo series
-Dishonored series
-MGS HD Collection

I hear the Crackdown games are pretty fun. Maybe Fable 2 if you like hack and slash. Saints Row 2 and Sunset Overdrive are great open world games that run the best on the 360 (both got sub-optimal PC ports).

Disc games:
Crackdown 1 is probably dated by today's standards but still fun
Best console version of Test Drive Unlimited is on 360
Can't go wrong with any of the Bethesda stuff if you like those games
XBLA games:
Ilomilo is great and never went anywhere else other than Windows Phone
Outrun Online Arcade

I recommend anything that hasn't been re released like for example the Activision's Marvel games, Eternal Sonata if you want an ARPG, some musous like the Dynasty warriors Gundam or the Hokuto no Ken one, MK9, Need for speed Carbon and Most wanted, Singularity, Soul Calibur (1,2,4,5), Sonic the fighters, Splatterhouse, Project Sylpheed, Tomb raider Underworld, Saints row 1, Warrior Orochi. Etc
As You can see there's limitless potential ?

OutRun, what a wonderful game!
I remember playing it on my old Windows 7 pc when I was a child, installed by my dad.
Ilomilo seems interesting, I'll go take a look on it :D
