So I have this massive problem where I own a LOT of games that I haven’t finished yet so to combat this problem I decided to create a list of games that I need to finish

More games will be added after I complete the first four games, hopefully this gets me back into gaming as I have been kinda burned out by all the games I own

I mean, see how you go, but if you are feeling burnt out, then maybe a break is what you need more than trying to force yourself? Food for thought anyway::peacemario

I definitely relate to having quite the backlog though::eggmanlaugh::nervous-prinny

I’m not forcing myself to play these games (I think?), I’ve been wanting to play games for a long while however life has kinda gotten in the way of all of that (and also doomscrolling) so I guess burned out wasn’t really the right thing to say, may bad :(
You don't *need* to finish any of them, keep that in mind. Play for fun when you get the itch, or else it'll turn into a job and it's less fun.

Analynn is very good btw
I know Annalynn is good (I’ve already beaten it I just wanna play it again) and I’ve had the itch FOREVER

All good! I hope you have a good time with them anyway ::chocobo-wave

I’d recommend using the website HowLongToBeat. You can keep track of the games you want to play, mark them complete, and you don’t even have to put in the time it took you to beat them (If you don't want to). It’s honestly become part of my gaming ritual. I finish a game, hop on the site, mark it complete, drop a score and a little review.

The best part is how it keeps everything organized. I can see my backlog at a glance, decide what to play next, and actually track my progress. Makes finishing games feel way more satisfying.

Another thing I love is how it’s helped me “retire” games. I don’t feel like I have to force myself to finish everything on my backlog anymore, marking a game as retired still gives me closure, almost like a different kind of ending. It took away the guilt of dropping a game and let me enjoy my collection a lot more.

Oh this is a good idea. I used to have my entire backlog in a spreadsheet with a genre column so I could easily go "I feel like playing an action game" or whatever and just have what I haven't played yet at a glance. But always remember gaming isn't a chore it's for funsies. Never feel bad for dropping games you don't want to finish ::thumbsupwario

Don't see the games you didn't finish yet as a job or something so no need to rush because think of what you'll play after all these games are finished!! ::winkfelix

really, good luck with a backlog
it's not like i don't believe it'll help, it's nice to organize, but i got backlogs from NES up till now, has to be thousands of games i want to play through at some point. but damn good new games came out recently, ninja gaiden ragebound and shinobi, sonic crossworlds, Trails in the Sky 1st remake,
I've never played any of the Lufia, Breath of fire, Wild arms, xenogears, xenosaga, dot hack, all of Falcoms Trails games (cold steel, sky, etc)
none of the mario and luigi games, or any paper mario, lot of mario games from gamecube onward (sunshine, galaxy 1 and 2, odyssey)
I can make a huge list of what i haven't even STARTED, i'd lose my mind lol.

i just tell myself, alright i'm finishing THIS game and touching nothing else.... and then tommorow i play something else LOL.
i've gotten VERY impatient with games now, like, fast forwarding, rapid text scrolling and barely reading, cheats to speed up gameplay
i didn't used to like cheating any game, now it's like "well... i can shut off encounters to not deal with so much crap"
Save states, quick save/load, and REWIND, are my favorite things in recent games.

and omg, they wanna remaster and remake EVERYTHING!! i definitely don't wanna play the same games again when i got so many others to go through.
glad i never played FF tactics before, so that remaster is my first time into that.
there's some REALLY GOOD remakes, Trails of Mana, FF7 remake, Romancing saga revenge of Seven,
and absolutely Dragon quest 1,2,3 HD2d (SO MANY changes they are NOT the same game)

anyways, good luck, too many games in the world to track, and lots of my games are RPG games.
