It was 130$, came with one controller and vmu. They're pretty hard to find around here since we don't have many video game stores, so I couldn't resist it! They have a few (kind of expensive) games at the same store, wondering if i should pick up one of the cheaper ones. I've wanted a dreamcast since seeing the avgns video on seaman when i was a freshman in highschool, and they have it there for 70 bucks, so i might budge next time we're down there. I plan on ripping marvel vs capcom 2 an soulcalibur for it (and probably picking up another controller at some point.) I'd love to hear some reccomendations if there's anything else I should get for it (not the sonic adventures, i have them both for a different console.) Thanks ::peacemario

I heard re2 was really good on dream cast.
I didn't had or played dreamcast,I think it's better to use roms from repo instead buying them,if you were unsure to buy specific game.

Congrats! the dreamcast has a pretty good library overall, as far as game reccomendations go, since you're interested in mvc2 just know tha most fighting games at that time had perfect dreamcast ports, they are usually the best version of them imo, i don't know much about prices but a few games i recommend are both shenmue games (or you could just buy the cheaper digital collection with both on any other platform lol but having it on the og has it's charm), project justice tho i heard that one can get quite a bit expensive, crazy taxi, jet set radio, power stone 2, and a more niche one is ecco the dolphin: defender of the future, again idk how expensive these are but they're a couple of games i enjoy

Ah, the dreamcast. It's like a fever dream, recalling the one time I got to play one. One of mom's boyfriend's sons had one. I remember playing crazy taxi and him showing me his Chao on the VMU. We went to the zoo that day. I haven't examined this memory in some dang ol time.

I have such a soft spot for the Dreamcast, it's the first console I ever dabbled with soft-modding as a young teen. It's also full of charming, unique games. You owe it to yourself to try out Jet Set Radio, Powerstone 1/2, and Crazy Taxi.
