A selection of modifications to tweak the base game experience.

It uses a modular modification system conceived by Leonarth CG as well as programs by Dartharthron (AiO Editor, Lawyer Tool) to provide specific tweaks, detailed below:

Lawless:
Removes the law system from the game completely, as well as Judges.

Lawless (Timed KO):
Imitates the KO system from FFT, giving the player some leeway before having to revive characters.
(note the countdown ends after "1", not "0").

Lawless (Jagd):
KOed player units not revived before the end of the battle die permanently.

Lawless (Jagd) [Timed KO]:
Combines Timed KO with permadeath. This is the most difficult variant by far.

Lawless (The One):
Maintains the law system, but limits it to a single law per area.

Additionally, every variant includes the "missing items" patch, based on Taelia's work; it ensures both blue magic and certain items and equipment can no longer be missed by the player due to the original game's designers' oversights.

Last but not least, every variant also includes the ability to steal an enemy's shoes via the Steal: Accessory command, another tweak made by LeonarthCG.

Hey, I don't remember anything about the game at all even though I played it at some point. Can someone tell me how does the "missable items" patch work please?
Basically it ensures every possible reward is obtainable via progression so that no mission becomes impossible to complete later.

Also Thundrakes and Goblins were added to certain clan formations so a Blue Mage always has the possibility of learning a full spell list.

Added the variants I alluded to earlier, thanks to the amazing modular hacks by LeonarthCG. Hopefully this should prove accommodating enough that everyone can enjoy the game in their preferred flavor.

Edit: If someone has Morphers in their party, I'd be thankful if you could test to see if they are working well (one of the tweaks concerns this class).
Which tweak effects morphers if I may ask?

This finally makes FFT on the GBA a phenomenal experience. Back then, all I heard about of the game was how much the laws fucking sucked.
I mean for the most part it isn't bad and just forces you to play different. Though I definitely understand how some people may not like the law system because it feels limiting and punishes you. If these additions can help new people play FFTA then that's a great thing!

In FFTA2 they made it more bearable while also giving you a reason to follow laws while giving you benefits that you can select.

Would like to offer a QoL suggestion.

-I'd like to see Mewt for the snowball fight be reduced to 1 HP so you don't have to wait and can just continue with the game
While an ASM hack exists for skipping the whole boring intro, it doesn't work and makes the game crash. I'll see if it is possible to edit Mewt's stats.

Yeah you were right that the name before was not descriptive. I'll see if it is possible to modify maps to make them all Jagds for a different kind of lawless.
I appreciate the acknowledgement. I do hope people enjoy this hack and thanks for doing the work to share it.

Lol bro i absolutely hate those purists, final fantasy tactics advance has a good story(although inferior to tactics 1)but the law system is absolutely terrible, let people play however they want instead of forcing you to bench some of your best units because they punished for either using their Magic or weapon in a fight.
The laws actually limit what you can do and annoy you in Battle instead of adding diversity.

What are you talking about?the law system doesn't make the original game harder just annoying so i don't know what you mean.
Being unable to use the jobs or weapons i want sucks.
i can understand that opinion, but not wanting any rules holding you back doesn't make the game better. You can think it's annoying but at the end of the day, it's a tactical game the uses a system to try and get you out of that exact mindset where you are just throwing all your best out whenever you want. i do see now calling it easy mode wasn't the right wording, but my point was removing a core part of a game, even if you personally didn't enjoy it, isn't a quality of life adjustment. If they released it today, it wouldn't be removed, but most likely just have custom options and such.

Mostly people just yelling "STOP HAVING FUN" no but seriously it's not that big a deal. It's a game if people get all uppity about how you play then whatever I guess? People should be able to play how they wanna play regardless of the method. It shouldn't effect anyone else.

I have personally finished the game laws and all and I'm sure many have. This is mostly meant for faster replays. No need for the attitude.

*sigh* removing core mechanics and calling them QOL adjustments or "Definitive edition" is super weak........this is a cool hack, but the name is extremely misleading. It should just be called Final Fantasy Tactics Advance: Easy mode. This stuff never usually bothers me, but I've seen quite a few hacks pop up recently that say QOL or definitive edition and it just gives you all experience on your first kill and unlocks everything all at once. That's not what those words mean....

I didn't have the time to do so yet but there is a modular ASM based suite for this thing that allows for interesting variations.

Lawless hack makes it sound cool af. much better. lololol

I can see the judge of every map hiding in the corner crying and confused and how absolutely pissed Mewt is

This games its on my favorite list fftactics game.

I put in order my favorites

2- fftactics psp

3.- fftactics gba

4-fftactics ds

Exactly. Later I will upload a variant tjat plays more closely to A2 within the limits of what can be done.

If I remember right there is, yes. A white card maybe? It erases one law for the duration of the engagement.
and something about anti-laws right? i should just play it lol. I look forward to the upload!
