Filters being usable from anywhere in the repo

I think that would be nice. For example, searching a single genre while seeing the games on every platform would be really nice. Same with chosing your source. People should have an easy access on finding the "paddle control" game /hj.

I second this. Sometimes I like to look for obscure RPGs and this could be helpful for consoles I'm not super knowledgeable on.

I’m not sure if this is what you want, but I have a script that adds search by genre and other tweaks.

Here’s what it does basically:

Search
*Browse games by genre right from the header
*Genre filter is now part of the search bar
*Pick multiple filters at once before searching, no need to run a new search for each one

Visuals
*Page content takes up a bit more space on the screen
*Less spacing between elements in the game info
*Multi-line game titles look tighter
*Game details (downloads, scores, etc) are now all on one line (had to shrink the flags a bit)

I had to open a bunch of games to check the genres, so I might have missed some

I tried it, using any filter and searching gives me the "nothing found" page

Edit: it works form the topdown menu on the top of the page but after sorting from most downloaded, it reverts to showing all games. That might not be a bug but it would be nice if it showed the most downloaded games from that genre only

This is just how the search works by default. You need to type something in the search bar.
You can see this without the plugin. If you change the platform in the filter, it runs a search automatically, but it ignores the filter.

I just need to check if it’s possible to do that.

I pushed an update, take a look.

Changes:
* Maged to fix the search without a search term, so now you can search using just filters.
* Sorting no longer resets your filters.
* Genre list is now (hopefully) complete.
* Fixed a bug in the header genre list that was resetting the scroll position.
* Added a field to type a page number and jump straight there.
* Added a “clear filters” button in the search bar.
