Favourite kind of cake?

I don't eat a lot of cake myself. From time to time though, I will indulge in some. I feel like I have cake maybe 3-4 times throughout the year Anyway, my personal favourites are:

This creamy caramel cheesecake from a local dessert chain. A bit on the pricier side, but they do sell it in portions that are more manageably priced for when I want a quick fix. Quarters and halves etc,

And I adore Orange & Poppyseed cake. I make mine from a pre-packaged cake mix, though, and I always prefer it WITHOUT the icing. It pairs so well with a decaf latte

Carrot cake! But legit carrot cake - made with actual grated carrots. From scratch. With all the add-ins and doo-dads like walnuts and raisins. Heck, maybe even pineapple!

Must have cream cheese icing, though. Must. So easy to make, too - two parts cream cheese, one part butter, with a few cups of powdered sugar and some tablespoons of vanilla. Mix until smooth. Also excellent as a frozen treat
