What is everybody's favourite game that never left the shores of glorious nippon.

I wouldn't call it my favourite of all time, but I'm really enjoying Wangan Dead Heat Real Arrange for the sega saturn. TECHNICALLY it came over to the states and europe, but that was the inferior first version, and they gutted all the pretty ladies from the game.

Taiko no Tatsujin Portable DX is a must-have if you like rhythm games, with the DLCs the number of songs can surpass 100. The controls are pretty simple but the gameplay can be very hard in the expert levels. And if you like some 90s and 2000s anime, there are a lot of remarkable opening songs to choose from.

Seaman 2: Pekin Genjin Ikusei Kit

Released in 2007 by Vivarium and Sega, Seaman 2 is the sequel to the Dreamcast title Seaman. But instead of raising a sarcastic fish-man, you now act as a god-like overseer guiding a miniature tribe of Peking Men, 20cm tall humanoids living on a remote island. The game uses a microphone-equipped controller to issue voice commands, and your goal is to nurture, manipulate, and spiritually guide the tribe through daily life and existential crises.

K-on! Houkago Live!! for the PSP/PS3. It has fan translations, but never got an official English release.

K-on! was my favourite anime back when I got my first PS3 in 2011. Once I found out there was a K-on! game AND that the PS3 was region free, I imported a copy from eBay ASAP. It was the first of many games I have imported from Japan over the years, and I also picked up the PSP version at some point.

I love rhythm games, but taiko I never quite clicked with, probably because i've never used the awesome taiko controller. I imagine that would make the experience a lot better. I find that only having two lanes makes me have to mash really hard which isn't really all that satisfying or fun.
I had this problem with mush dash too.

I love the gameplay of something like project diva, but I don't love vocaloid music, which makes it a little less fun to play. I bought DJ MAX on steam during the summer sale for 11 dollars so I'm going to try that out. I'm always looking for a new music game obsession.

Sakura Wars 3 and 4, though hopefully fans eventually translate them. I'm already super grateful for the fan translations of the first two.

Queen's Gate. We got a fan translation of Blade a while ago but nothing for the sequel. Again I'm grateful the first even has a translation, but can always hope.

Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi. Real shame Capcom had no faith in the series overseas.

Segagaga. My pipe dream fan translation. I don't know if the game itself is any good but the concept is so interesting to me.

Growlanser. It still has no patch and nobody knows when it will be released. Also Twilight Syndrome.
And one of my favourite sagas of all time: Summon Night.
